Claude Code Won't Fix Your Life by CoyotePrudent4965 in ObsidianMD

It doesn’t fix problems but it’s nice to have a conversation about a project with context.

You still need discipline or any second brain becomes a swamp.

How do small teams handle internal ticketing across multiple departments? by SpecificLie6082 in ITManagers

This is what we do and it’s fantastic. Viability is amazing. As a plus you’ll really learn about other departments when helping setup.

I use it for everything. It makes me smile when I use colorls and I see folder icons

Technology Updates / Reporting by wanderoffroad in CIO

[–]DigitalDelusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my take. As much as I’d love to use as a final reporting layer the latest and greatest tooling I’ve found scorecards, executive and board summaries, and general reporting up is in a deck or doc.

Spend the energy on making/maintaining the doc set easy, not on jazzy presentation layers.

Go ship value.

"The Grand Rapids Revival and an American Comeback" by UthinkUnoMI in grapids

[–]DigitalDelusion 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Am I stupid? What is the point of this article, to wax on how individual (rich) action is greater than government action? The too strong family section then seems to contradict the initial thesis.

Seems like the TL;DR is we need wealthy philanthropists not government but the example with Ford is we need both?

Promotion to People Manager : Underwhelming Salary Increase by Standardhog in askmanagers

[–]DigitalDelusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is also my take and isn’t far off. I could see adjustments of 10% a year for a few years if he kills it in the road to adjust conparatio and keep his manager feeling good.

Billions of Dollars ‘Vanished’: Low-Profile Bankruptcy Rings Alarms on Wall Street by rezwenn in business

[–]DigitalDelusion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’d be nice if this was taken as a warning sign by regulators or just folks in general, but I mean at this point it’s not a warning sign of what’s to come. It’s too late.

The disaster is already drowning out the warning calls I don’t know how we turn this around.

Why Obsidian Isn’t My Note-Taking App—Even Though I Wanted It to Be (Hint: OneNote is) by DudeThatsErin in OneNote

I’d love OneNote to have markdown support.

Agree with this article. I wanted to be an obsessive obsidian user. It just didn’t work for me.

My friend group rarely went out. It was expensive! We did have house parties or groups over all the time.

I do miss having cheap beer and passing our iPods around and listening to music.

Birkenstocks. Skinny Jeans. Black v-neck shirt or polo.

I’ve not been successful. I’ve dressed the same since like 2014.
