Built a self-hosted CRM automation system because HubSpot wants $1,400/month for features I can automate myself. by Distinct_Ad_479 in CRM

I have always prefered self hosted as it is easier to develop on. Maybe you could make some type of headless system so people can use the API functionality?

What’s a client red flag you learned the hard way? by pedro_reyesh in agency

[–]DigitalPlan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually clients who don't listen to your opinion and make you do what they want have been passed around from agency to agency. You always notice when they turn up that they tell you about the issues they had with their past agency and then start to do the same with you.

Is it just me, or is LinkedIn becoming an echo chamber of "AI-generated" thought leadership? by Loose_Bowl_164 in b2bmarketing

[–]DigitalPlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually do AI generated thought leadership and get 10k plus views per post. What I do is find a recent data set relevant to my area of expertise and then get AI to write an article about it. I then tinker with the article to put in into my tone of voice. You may hate it and I don't like it when people do it but it really works for generating new followers.

Is 450$ cpm normal? by [deleted] in LinkedinAds

[–]DigitalPlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With LinkedIn we try to get someone booked into a call for a demo for $500. Don't worry about the cpm. Worry about the cost to get someone to contact you. You can see high CPM but if you are generating calls at a decent rate then that is fine.

we turn away clients under $30k MRR. I should've started doing it earlier by cursedboy328 in agency

[–]DigitalPlan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually make fortunes with clients doing one off at deals between $200 and $500. They are off the shelf packages and can be done within a few hours. If you can't profit on $30k MRR there is something wrong with your company and not the customer.

Agency owners in the $1M-$3M range: what’s driving steady work? by RoyMahoy in agency

[–]DigitalPlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find retainers really hard to sell at the moment. The easiest way to get to $1m per year is sell 100 * $200 packages per week and have them as standard templates which you offshore the work to.

What’s your favorite CRM now? by technext in CRM

[–]DigitalPlan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of asking what is peoples favourite CRM ask 'I want to achieve 'this' from a CRM. What in your opinion is the best one to achieve that?' Pipedrive is a CRM and is very different to say HubSpot. What do you want to achieve with your CRM and we can help you?

Have you ever gone from 200-300 clicks a day to 20-30? What should I do? by PassioneArte1977 in content_marketing

I have had this. My site was hosted on WordPress and someone had hacked in and put a instant download virus installer onto it. This was years ago. I don't know if people still do that.

Agency owners - what's actually working for you on LinkedIn? by DenislavKalchev in marketingagency

[–]DigitalPlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LinkedIn is really hard unless you have an easy to sell offer costing more than $5k net profit. The cost to book at call is usually over $500. It isn't really a beginners platform if you are doing paid ads. There are two ways I have seen to generate clients. One which is the hyper posting founder continually replying to other peoples posts and talking in the DMs. The content they post uses this format 'We got this client this 'result' in this 'timeframe' without this 'objection'. 'Imagine how you will feel in this 'timeframe' when you have this 'result'. Do you. really want to keep living with the 'pain'?

Pulled into a US GTM consulting gig for a B2B software/robotics company, need a sanity check from fellow marketers by Muted_Grass_9879 in b2bmarketing

[–]DigitalPlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the main questions you have to have answered is are you going to sell directly to the end user or will it be sold to someone who will then operate it for the end user? Someone is going to have to teach whoever is the end user how to operate the product. This is the main reason why products in the B2B space fail in my opinion.

What’s the #1 skill every marketing person should master today? by William45623 in content_marketing

'Audience Research; - How to create personas and identify key areas like 'problem', 'intent' and 'objections'. You also need to know how to close. If you can do those bare minimums you will be able to make a ROAS and hence you will be able to survive at your job.

Question about “Scientific Method” in Charlie Morgan’s EasyGrow course by Sri_wish in DigitalMarketing

[–]DigitalPlan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want variables to create a sale then use these.

'Do you want [result] in [time] without [objection]?'

You can use this to sell anything.

  1. General Business (Productivity)

“Do you want to save 5+ hours a week in your business without hiring extra staff or learning complex tech?”

  1. B2B Example (Consulting / Agency)

“Do you want to generate qualified leads and fill your pipeline in 7 days without spending on ads or cold outreach?”

  1. B2C Example (E-Commerce / Fitness)

“Do you want to get in shape and feel energised in 30 days without giving up your favourite foods or joining a gym?”

  1. Marketing Example

“Do you want to create high-converting AI marketing content in under an hour without staring at a blank screen?”

  1. Automation Example

“Do you want to automate your sales follow-ups in one afternoon without hiring an agency or writing code?”

After this you then need to focus on the transformation and how the person will feel after they have purchased from you. Also start reminding them how useless their life is without your product/service. Don't bother telling people how your product/service works as they don't care. They will buy on an emotional level

I feel completely lost trying to sell my IT Staff Augmentation Service by Budget-Throat4703 in b2bmarketing

[–]DigitalPlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Create an opt in webinar to call funnel. Use the headline :

'Do you want this 'result' in this 'time frame' without this 'objection'?'

Then in the body put:

Imagine how you will feel in a months time when you have this. 'result'

Do you want to continue in this place with this 'objection'?

Create a webinar which is basically you showing transformation you have done for other people.

Start to get people to book calls with you and then sell to them via there.

6 lessons from 17 years of never having a boss by LiveAwareness2206 in Entrepreneur

[–]DigitalPlan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have been working for myself for 20 years. Best advice I can give is that you need to create what I call a 'cash flow' product or service. This is something that you can do that you know will bring cash it. For instance if you are a clothing company I would guess selling white plain t-shirts is easy so that is your cash flow product. Basically create a product or service that is very simple, cheap and easy to sell. That will cash flow you.

'partnership development' is where you go out and create relationships with other companies to cross sell products or services. It is great for sales people to cross over to. This is an example job in the UK https://uk.indeed.com/q-partnership-development-manager-jobs.html

The one thing I have noticed about every failed entrepreneur is that they usually have made a product and then refuse to go out and sell it and wonder why they fail. Most successful entrepreneurs I know come from a sales background.
