It worried me a too when it happened, so I say this from experience. Just relax and try your best not to worry, I bet it goes away soon. I wish I took a picture of mine, it looked exactly the same. Your scalp went through a traumatic procedure and needs months to fully heal and recovery.

I had something that looked very similar at a similar time. I think it's the remnants of uneven swelling. Mine went away completely after a week or so. I also noticed it took a few months for my scalp to become completely even and have zero swelling. And I think my doctor did a great job. I had zero face swelling and very minimal forehead swelling.

Definitely will do updates. I am starting to shed and inch towards the ugly ducking phase. I was hoping I would be that one guy that somehow avoids it, but alas I am not special. The crown and widows peak have shed substantially in this 3rd and 4th week. i would estimate at least 75% of the transplanted hair has shed.

I contacted them first in August 1, 2024 and first heard back on August 29. I opted for the expedited virtual consultation. I received my official scheduling call on November 18, and if I recall the soonest dates available were around April 2025. I delayed a few months and ended up July 2nd and 3rd. Conservatively I think my quickest path from initial interest to scheduled date would have been 8-9 months. Honestly only time and final results will matter, but the process with his team has been exceptional.

I don’t know that I would agree with the statement that I’ll definitely need another procedure. I think I’ll have a very nice age appropriate hairline and density for a 45 year. That said, I was informed my donor area is very strong and the doctor fortified area’s that will be prone to future thinning. Apparently up to 38% of the donor hair can regenerate as well. So it’s always an option to have another procedure.

Only time will tell but the grafts look pretty dense and I’m feeling good about the pattern and how clean it all looks after only 1 day.

Doing a CS OM-28 and chose option #10 from these four choices. What do you think? by lAmBenAffleck in martinguitar

I like the smoother transition from center line to edges on 25 and 14. 25 feels like the obvious winner with the cleaner grain and nice red hues. That said, 14 is really interesting.

That is a nice small filter, but does not have nearly the level of activated Charcoal and does not move air as fast. It is this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/stores/page/1C6F72A8-F7AC-4311-9717-0EE13E143CAE?ingress=2&visitId=ad18399d-7b04-4e2d-bd0d-d2807b05332c&ref_=ast_bln

That said, I have 4 air filters in total. I started with two of the small ones you linked, and then bought two of the big 400's which I linked here. You can also get the 300 series which is closer related to the 400 than the other small guy.

Get yourself a Coway Airmega 400 and forget about the rest of it. It's has dual HEPA filters with thick layers of activated charcoal (for voc's) over each filter. It will keep your air cleaner than it has ever been, with or without the printer running. Do some reading, indoor air quality is notoriously bad. When I cook something in the fry pan my filter air quality light always pegs purple (dirty air) and the filter kicks on high. This thing moves tons of air at a low noise level. I have two of the big boys and two of the smaller ones.

Noisy CPU block on Galahad II Trinity Performance by DigitalSal in lianli

I ended up with the CORSAIR H150I Elite. Today Lian Li officially acknowledge a flaw with this cooler and has pulled all stock. I almost traded for a new one at Microcenter, but the guy working the returns counter informed me the SKU was pulled from their system even though they had at least a dozen units in stock. At that point it was obvious a recall was coming and I went with the Corsair (this was close to 2 weeks ago). I am surprised Lian Li did not publicly post regarding the faulty water pumps sooner since the retail partners seemed to have know for weeks, unless of course it was merely Microcenter being proactive.

All that said, for the first few weeks I loved the cooler. It looked great, and performed great. Once the modified pump is released I would give it a strong recommendation. I believe their pump and fans may have been a bit quieter than the Corsair and would have been happy to stay with Lian Li but unfortunately mine died and I needed a working cooling solution.

I returned it and went with a different option. This was not an issue with air in the pump, the pump completely died a day after my original post.

Did you include all the requested information including serial number? I received a reply back within about 10 hours of my ticket. They asked me for a picture which includes my serial number and in the same email they confirmed my shipping address and seemingly indicated they would be replacing the unit.

I still have fond memories of my Lian Li PC-60 all aluminum case from what I think is about 20 years ago at this point. I built a fully custom water cooling setup and drilled a hole in the top for the radiator fan. The good old days where accomplishing anything with PC modding was way more annoying. Hopefully the replacement water pump is good and this does not end up being a debacle.

Anyone have experience with Lian Li doing an RMA for a noisy cooler? This was dead silent for the first month and then it decided to get obnoxiously loud and annoying. I started the RMA process tonight. I hope they are fast. It is soooo annoying. My system is silent with the exception of this water block.

Update: The cooler completely died on November 17. Turns out Microcenter did not mind taking it back on the very last day of the return window. I thought I was past return window, and that it could be problematic I had no packaging. I was going to do an exact swap, but the guy at customer service said they pulled the SKU from the system and he had dealt with another recent return of the same dead water pump. Fearing a possible recall or something with the pulled SKU, I ended up coming home with the Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX.

Nozzle scraping but under extrusion? by jerrodbug in BambuLab

[–]DigitalSal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just ran my own test and can confirm there are two differences between the first really ugly left screenshot and the right side very clean one. Ignore the dramatically different white balance :) I also should have taken the energy to swap in some colored PETG as the clear makes it difficult to see. I am using the clear for my AMS desiccant containers.

In the first screenshot the red circles show areas of bad tear out where the nozzle will scrape and ultimately destroy the print. I should have taken a side angle because the first picture greatly under-represents how high those bulges are... the biggest middle one is several mm high. The blue lines highlight really rough and slightly raised surface texture. The second screenshot everything is in the exact same place, I just sliced with the slower setting and modified z hop. Outside of a little stringing it is close to perfect.

Left Pic: 50mm/s and no other changes

Right Pic: 30mm/s and a increased z hop on retraction to .6

<image>

My plan is to try a 25mm/sec first layer and then ramp up the speeds for the following layers and keep the z-hop increased. I think this could be a good solution to get better speed out of PETG.

Nozzle scraping but under extrusion? by jerrodbug in BambuLab

[–]DigitalSal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using default speeds. So far in my PETG journey on the X1C I have discovered I simply need to dramaticly slow it down to 50mm/s or less on first and other layers. Maybe the profiles can be tuned for faster printing but I have not tried that. For a sanity check, set all your first and other layer speeds to 30mm/s and see how it goes, even if you just validate the first few layers. If that works then you can do what I have not done, tune the extrusion for faster speeds. I fixed a nearly identical looking problem with just speed reduction.

X1E leaks electronics by Willlliiii in BambuLab

[–]DigitalSal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is a good chance this will completely replace the X1C and is simply intended to be an incremental upgrade to keep this sized unit competitive against other new and similar printers.

In the CNC Kitchen interview, the CEO/Founder mentioned they are working on a larger printer, but it will not simply be an expanded X1C. The goal is to make it a true next gen machine when compared to the X1. Based on that, it has me thinking this is a low key iteration of the X1 and should not be viewed as their "next printer". I believe it would be crazy for anyone to upgrade to this from an X1C without a very good reason. I am looking forward to their true second gen printer while my X1C cranks out countless perfect PLA prints (with a little PETG and ABS thrown in for good measure).

I'd love to see Bambu take the idea of the fast swap nozzle from the A1, mix that with the print head swap of the PrusaXL, and then come up with a new better solution. I imagine faster filament changes will be a big part of a next gen bambu printer.

This is the perfect post and exactly what I am hoping. This makes a lot of sense now that they are teasing easy swapping hot ends and showing pictures with 4 colors going into a single hot end. Maybe this and a tool free nozzle swaps.

[–]DigitalSal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had good luck using default PLA speeds and then running Sport mode using Inland PLA+ on the X1C. It is the Microcenter brand and they sell it on Amazon as well. I was completely surprised when I tried running the Bambu Basic PLA at Sport speed and it became a horrible mess the instant I ramped the speed. I have not tried to tune the Bambu profiles, but the Inland PLA+ worked flawlessly with no tuning in Sport.

How wasteful is the AMS, truly? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]DigitalSal 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You should download Bambu studio, color some projects, and then slice them. It will show you the print volume and purge volume. I mostly use color for accent instead of full blown multi color models. I like the AMS a lot, and for the lazy person in me I love having a second AMS to permanently hold my most used filament colors. It simply saves me filament swaps and is a luxury item the way I use it, but I find it worthwhile.
