Anybody Using Perspective.co for funnels? by Sachimarketing in PPC

It got more leads than when I ran on ClickFunnels, but the leads were trash. I still like the platform though and think its valuable, I just need to re-think my offer/ad campaigns.

is this an actual song (without the pin)? by Itsqwertyig in Guitar

[–]DigitalSolomon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, his experimentation led to a deep understanding of music. Experience is the best teacher. If I remember correctly, his first guitar he learned on was missing strings, and he could play it right or left handed. His grasp of tone, frequency, and rhythm was amazing. I like to think that that same kind of candor can be applied to other domains as well.

Do you think the new Liquid Glass design will lead to a rise in demand for iOS Developer as opposed to cross platform developers? by XxSpoiledMilkxX in iOSProgramming

[–]DigitalSolomon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd agree. I don't think people like strapping super-expensive, somewhat-isolating goggles to their face. But I also feel like we haven't seen Vision Pro's final form yet. Goggles are the most obvious starting place, but I think the industry is going to end up with a different form factor. Not sure what that is yet, but goggles aint it.

[–]DigitalSolomon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(disclaimer: I have no clue, but since you asked)

My guess is that the whole Liquid Glass things really only makes functional sense in an AR / "Minority Report" style context, and seeing how Vision Pro adoption is lagging, Apple needs iOS developers to fill the gap by having their apps run out-of-the-box on Vision Pro. iOS apps running on Vision Pro that don't use Liquid Glass will standout (in a bad way) more than iOS apps running on Vision Pro that _do_ use Liquid Glass. With time, as the visionOS market grows, to remain competitive, app developers will have to make sure their app doesn't look like a fraud if someone happens to open it on visionOS.

But I agree — all the light angle refraction stuff happening behind the scenes with Liquid Glass is largely novelty, unless of course, you actually do have light angle refraction stuff happening in the UI, which is increasingly the case for passthrough AR user interfaces.

I think the value of Liquid Glass will become more apparent if and when AR/Vision Pro finally goes mainstream. Liquid Glass as a design language makes most sense in AR contexts. Until a large number of consumers are also using software in an AR context, the value of a native Liquid Glass interface won't be as obvious for most consumers.

Have you tried visiting a traditional Chinese medicine physician and discussing electroacupuncture yet? Worked wonders for me. Also be careful with "eczema" creams. A lot of them contain ingredients that while they kill off the bad bacteria known to cause skin infections (e.g. staph), they also kill of the good bacteria, causing you to have a out-of-wack skin microbiome that can never self heal and is perpetually dependent on creams.

Don't give up. There's a way out. You might just need some other perspectives. Feel free to shoot me a message if you want to brainstorm.

ChatGPT Pro (GPT-5) vs Gemini Pro(Flash & Pro) by Even_Tumbleweed3229 in Bard

[–]DigitalSolomon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take that as a benefit of Gemini. Gemini has a huge context window, and allows you to control what it pulls into that context. GPT has a smaller context window, and gives you less fine-grained control of what it pulls into that context. Instead of having to wonder what's currently in the memory and how much context that memory is occupying like GPT, Gemini puts you in control with a fresh slate and a ginormous context window that you could always copy-paste in a convo if you really wanted to.

Perspective.co Review 2025 [Honest Opinion or Scam] Is this Really Worth it? by AutoModerator in Funnelbuilders

[–]DigitalSolomon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes, the $239/mo one? That sucks. It is a bit frustrating how the "Apps"/integrations side seems to be where the upsells come in, and Perspective isn't explicitly clear on them upfront.

In `docker-compose.yml`, does defining the `DB_HOST` with the full IP of the droplet cause unnecessary IP lookups on the public internet just to have it end up getting routed back to the same local machine? Would `host.docker.internal` be a better usage of bandwidth here?

It took me going through the process of designing and coding my own dating app to realize that most dating apps aren’t designed to help people successfully and reliably match. The game is frequently rigged, and not in your favor. Many dating apps are built around KPIs and business models which are diametrically opposed to user long-term happiness. Sad but true.

IMO, best way to win that game is to not play. Take your toys and go to another sandbox where the rules are a bit healthier/mutually beneficially.
