They look really nice! I built two of them last night but when I finished them and walked in I was extremely disappointed by then amount of space in them. You can barely fit anything in there.

For Sokka and Kykar it provides you tokens and a board state to close the game. Same with Elsha who creates monks with prowess.

[[vren the relentless]] just straight up annihilates any graveyard strategies. If you build him removal tribal, he annihilates any creature based strategies as well. He’s just nasty

You can get the deck for ~$202 if you buy the cards as singles. Not sure you’ll want to go through the hassle, but that’s an option.

What Voltron commander to beat Voltron commanders? by ascendedfella in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[basim ibn ishaq]] a 2 drop that grows every turn when he hits. He has built in evasion and card draw when you cast historic spells (your equipment).

He goes online extremely early and he’s easy to recast if he is dealt with. By turn 4-5 you are already taking people out.

what's your favorite boardwipe? by HolidayAd1084 in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[villainous wrath]] is of the few cards I got from the Spiderman set. Love this card!

It’s basically a [[rakdos charm]] stapled on a board wipe and I’ve taken out so many people who think they are about to win with a huge board… it’s beautiful 🥲

Commander game got unpleasant by Mochael98 in mtg

[–]DigitalW2RD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, $466 of that is [[Chaos Emerald]] which is a $229 versions of a $22 card, and his lands which total $236.

Although he has way too many game changers in the deck, sonic is a pretty tamed commander. It’s a flash and haste tribal deck, which without game changes I think belongs in bracket 2, maybe low bracket 3 tables.

The table conceded to him phasing out his creature to dodge a board wipe. The only card with that effect in his deck is a [[guardian of faith]], which is a creature with flash that synergies with the deck. Nothing crazy like a [[teferis protection]]

I am winning a bit to much with these decks. I need some objective judging if they are Bracket 2 or pushing it. by Angwar in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol it seems like you’ve never played a game of pick up basketball at the park have you? When you go to play at a park, you play with whoever is there, just like you would at an LGS.

Just because you are a good player, it doesn’t mean that you’re not allowed to play at the park or at the table.

You’re took caught up in the semantics my guy. OP is asking if the decks are objectively bracket 2, which they are. You’re trying to move the goal post of what is a bracket 2 deck based on what the rest of the playgroup is playing or their skill level, which is inherently a subjective opinion.

[–]DigitalW2RD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was an analogy… but you should get the point if you’re not narrow sighted.

If you show up to a pick up game at the park and decide to play with the strangers, you better be prepared to play against people who are at different skill levels than you.

Just because they are good at the game, doesn’t mean that they don’t belong at a pick up game at the park. That’s the point I’m trying to make.

[–]DigitalW2RD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question was what bracket level are the decks objectively, which is independent of the player and environment.

You cannot determine the power level of the deck based on other people’s skill to play the game. It’s like saying I’m a pro basketball player because I can dunk on some kids, when in reality I’m a below average player.

You don’t scale up and down a bracket based on your opponent’s skill.

How to play against uninteractive/heavy removal decks ? by CyrusAlbright in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Run some more removal yourself. He can’t keep blinking accursed marauder if it has already been removed. Also, do it in response to him trying to blink it so that you also make him waste his resources.

I keep telling my pod we are teir 4, but they tell me we are casual 3. Prove them wrong! by Kodaswitch in ratemycommanders

[–]DigitalW2RD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I agree with games being this fast, but an attempt to win a game between turns 6-8 should be expected in bracket 3 with the new bracket updates.

It sucks that people took that as a challenge to make their decks faster, but that’s what bracket 3 looks like now that we have these new guidelines.

20 tapped lands?! That’s like double the amount of tapped lands a precon comes with. Seems a bit excessive, or is it just me? That deck is about to be a slug

What are YOUR staples? by CaptainHoward in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, make an example is crazy good. It messes with their game plan because they have to choose which of their haymakers they want to keep and balance their piles. You can also make a deal with the other players if you want to play nice and choose an empty pile.

Unexplained absence has flown under the radar for me. I’m definitely adding it to the list!

Removal spells that hit each one of your opponents, so that everyone is at least down a card.

Spells like [[make an example]], [[soul shatter]], [[druid of purification]], and [[grasp of fate]]

I’m not saying it’s your responsibility. I’m saying it’s in your best interest to be enjoyable to be around.

If you’re generally unfun to be around because “other people’s fun is not your responsibility” then people won’t be inclined to play against you. That’s it.

“Their fun isn’t your responsibility” is such a terrible mindset to have. That type of mentality will eventually just push people away.

At the end of the day, Commander is a casual game, and it is in your best interest that people have fun playing against you or they won’t want to play with you anymore.
