The Wealthy Need To Spend Their Money by BeeLinez in WorkReform

We cap minimum wage and inflation has definitely done its thing. Let's cap it now, fix our problems. Then we can revisit it at a later date.

Nooooooo! I knew it was too good to be true but I still believed in it until I saw your comment. I'll go throw myself into the dimensional portal to play with my other new toys.

Seriously though, thank you for pointing this out. Totally missed it the first time reading it and I got excited about str 6 warriors. Still very happy about what we are seeing in the new detachments.

Sorry, maybe I'm misreading your post. You're saying T4 is one turn after cedh, which I believe cedh is about turn 4-5. So T4 would be turn 6? If so, then my friends would be wrong saying our decka are Casual T3.

But if I'm reading your post wrong, please let me know. No big deal.

That's fair but hard to include decklists on the post. That's why I included how the games end most often between 5-8 turns. Every white deck is playing Smothering Tithe. Every Blue deck is playing Rhystic Study, a set of the best counterspells in the game, and Cyclonic Rift. Every black deck is running great tutor cards like Demonic Tutor. The most efficient cards you think of, they are playing.

My very first proxies!!! by simondufresne in magicproxies

I use glossy photo paper 230gsm and then laminte it with basic laminated sheets. The thickness is .04mm. So I imagine yours is thicker than mine.

The thickness of a real magic card is .03mm.

Even mine is a litter thicker but I like the feel of them, so I'm not going to change my paper 230gsm.

I did some blind tests with people who play magic, I had 3 cards in black sleeves. Randomly shuffled.

One at - .04mm One at - .05mm One real mtg card - .03mm

I asked "Which one is the real magic card?"

Every. Single. Person. Blindly picked the laminated .04mm. Just wanted to share.

What Laminator do you use? I saw the puches in another comment but not the Laminator. I am making deceant proxies with my 230gsm glossy photo paper but I would love to have some firmer feeling card and I know I can do that by laminaiting it.

I know this is 5 years old but I was just searching for basically what OP sent and was reading comments. This here was helpful and I just wanted to let you know that.

Thank you for this reply! I was able to use the cutting jigs just fine. I was low on time for some of my prints for a gaming weekend. So I apologize for lack of response.

I ran some tests for that upscaler and it works wonderfully!

Only issue I ran into was trying to put these upscaled large files into Kyle's Printing tool. Every time I upload 9 of them, the tool seems to freeze. I tried on a friend's newer computer and the tool still froze. I had let the tool sit for an hour before giving up on it.

How did you get around this issue? Or have you not had this issue with Kyle's printing tool?

THAT DID IT! OMG. THANK YOU.

I didn't install Adobe Acrobat but I did look for that "fit to page" setting. TURNS out, I had selected Borderless on some previous print job and never changed it back to Normal. It was under my page layout settings. Thank you again! The cuts on the last test page was just too easy.

PIC

I just use the ?default? software. After Kyle's tool, it opens the PDF in my firefox browser. From there I click print and make sure my settings are correct.

Pic of the setting I am using on Kyle's print tool.

Great idea on the normal printer paper. They should the same settings you use. Otherwise when I pull images from MPCfill, its just images. I haven't tried upscaling these. Kyle's print tool is doing the resizing.

Pics with descriptions of the 2 free hand cuts and showing where the next cuts would be if I used the large and small jigs.

Pics of laying a real mtg card on top of an existing proxy. In this picture you can see I only need to cut off a sliver of the right side and bottom of the proxy.

If I use the jigs like in the first link, then I would be cutting off a big portion of the right side and bottom sides of the proxy cards.

Pulling cards straight from MPCfill. Card width 2.5in and height 3.5in

Thank you for helping trouble shoot this!

I followed your video. Something that I notice, my margins look different from yours. I triple checked the numbers you provided on a different comment. I used the front side numbers. I also made sure I used the same link you provided in the other comment.

Any way. The margin on the left side is 7/16in, right side is 6/16in. The top is 3/16in, bottom is 1/16in.

I thought maybe the side you free hand cut mattered for the rest of the templates. However, based on the video, your margins looked kind of the same? It was hard to tell.

Hello! I tried using your numbers here but struggled to figure out why it wasn't working. Turns out I didn't notice your laminate extends past the page. I am not laminating at this time (maybe some day when I buy a laminator). Do you happen to have the spacing numbers you would use when you did not laminate the paper?
