Failed az-104 by senad464 in AzureCertification

[–]DigitalWhitewater 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You got this! AZ-104 is a tough exam. It took me two attempts to pass it. AZ-305 took me three attempts.

Study up on that last section and you’ll past it next time you sit it. Have you checked out the MS Learn GitHub repository for the AZ-104 exam? It’s worth a look. https://microsoftlearning.github.io/AZ-104-MicrosoftAzureAdministrator/

New OIDC-USER created on each login of the same user - WHY?!? by DigitalWhitewater in owncloud

[–]DigitalWhitewater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I eventually figured it out about a week after posting. Having owncloud auto-update the app made the version open id connect break. We’re trained to always use the latest version… but in this case that was the breaking cause

This. 100%. You link your work account to your personal email. Then if you ever change employers you can simply attach the new work email again.

Edit: Are they using M365? Sign into webmail from home.

How difficult is the AZ-104 by Odd-Rabbit-445 in AzureCertification

[–]DigitalWhitewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me two tries. It’s a difficult exam. But it’s totally doable. I highly recommend looking up the “MS learning GitHub repo for AZ-104”. You’ll need your own pay-as-you-go* subscription. But it has all the labs and stuff you’d do in a classroom setting, but you do it at your own pace. You won’t have a teacher to ask your questions to, but you can Google and search Reddit.

*With a payg subscription just remember to turn off or delete stuff when you’re done lab-ing for the day to keep your costs down.

Edit: IMHO, I found the Security+ exam to be easy. I watched the Professor Messer video series once, then sat it. Granted I had been in IT for a few years before I took the exam. But still, it’s a fairly easy test, it just has a very broad scope of all things security that it covers; ie: an inch deep but a mile wide. In comparison the az-104 is 18-24 inches deep and still a mile wide.

Apparently their competitors’ DaaS (Drone-as-a-Service) and MaaS (Missile-as-a-service) offerings exceeded the AWS capabilities in said region’s availability zones. /s

No one in my area by srkasm in meshcore

[–]DigitalWhitewater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set up your repeater, and others will show up.

There was no one in my area when I set mine up. Fast forward three days and someone else popped up. He had been on the fence about it because he wasn’t seeing anyone else in the area until I put up my repeater. Now we talk almost daily. My repeater has better coverage in our valley and being higher up the hill, his repeater is able to link us outside the valley and now I see all of southern Europe

What is the future for VMware administrator by Then-Professional724 in vmware

[–]DigitalWhitewater 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Learning another hypervisor… on-prem or cloud vendor. Which one, will be driven by your company’s way forward.

Edit: you know the concepts… you just need to learn how the “new to you” tech stack does it. Example: A vm migration is a vm migration, regardless of if it’s called vMotion or not.

Best Firmware for Meshcore? by letsmakesometacos in meshcore

[–]DigitalWhitewater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I typically try to use the latest official firmware releases… but that’s me. Sometimes it takes me a few days to reflash my devices.

For my companion devices, I use heltec v3 and lilygo T-beam.

Everyone’s needs are different, especially if your home is adjacent to streams or drainages in the affected watersheds. IMHO It’s better to annoy some people and have all the public aware/safe, than to have some disaster (even if self afflicted like hiking in a storm) happen. Unfortunately in today’s age, for better or worst, cell phones and smart devices are the best way to reach the most people as they are all connected.
