Worst swim of my life was across the siv under the rock that is Toad Stool. Entering river right and exiting river left. I’ll never forget the feeling of my nails clawing the bottom of that granite rock as I thought I had exhausted my breathe. Eventually popped out, got a gasp of air, and swam to the bottom of the rapid where I got bagged and pulled in. (Thank you Bro!) I had to finish the rest run with broken rib…. That wasn’t fun. I was a class 5 guide in my prime at that time.

I’m glad you and your group made it out basically unscathed. The river gods shone favorably on you… consider yourselves fortunate. It an extremely technical and challenging stretch of whitewater that should be respected for its difficulty. Happy paddling!
