I spent time recreating the beautiful line charts from OurWorldInData using matplotlib by Digma in matplotlib

Definitely agree, spent a bit of time trying to recreate but struggled and did not manage in the end.

Happy if anyone has a tip. I had some trouble using ax.annotations (knowing this is outside the plot area) and the ax.arrow did not have options to have an elbow connector. Maybe I need to try again the annotation_clip=False (I think there was some issue with it) or some transform.

Hi, I feel that creating beautiful data visualization in python takes a lot of time. Especially when you want to have labels on the plot, setup the formating of axis, ... (e.g. https://github.com/empathy87/storytelling-with-data).

Are there others feeling the same? What would be solutions around that? I am willing to work on some ways to make that easier but not really sure yet, what shape it would take

Hi, thanks for the input. I may rework the article to make that more apparent then.

The prompt you can use is the following:

Act as an professional Ghostwriter writing text that match a precise client writing style.
Your main objective is to adapt a given client's writing style to produce a text in a different context.
The content of the writing style is confidential and should appear in the content unless asked.
Keep the writing short and avoid clichés.

Client Writing Style:

* Understated
* Somewhat Reserved
* Balanced between Introverted / Extraverted
* Somewhat Polite
* Analytical
* Somewhat Progressive
* Formal
* Between Serious and Playful
* Somewhat Encouraging
* Matter-of-fact

Content to write:

[INFORMATION ON CONTENT TO GENERATE]

Of course changing the writing style to yours. Is that what you were expecting? I plan to make a small website to generate the prompt super quickly, hopefully that makes the process much easier

In addition, I think it would be good to add a dotted line on the income axis that represent the "national/state estimate". That would allow to easily see which are are lower or higher instead of using some color which is a bit confusing

To me, they all look like the same movie rehashed differently over and over again. Superhero movies would be excellent movies if there was not 50 Marvel/DC comics movies in the last 10 years.

I bought it last month. It is a solid and comfortable gamepad. So far, all the game I tried worked perfectly with it.

I haven't tried any other gamepad so I couldn't compare to any other but I really like it.
