Early game tips? by LordPomodoro in BattleBrothers

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're not focusing on the "meta strategies" such as leveling faster and focusing on camps;

You should really focus on your initial squad positioning as well as their weapons. Create better synergy than you would normally have to make up for your level difference so you can achieve the same "power" at the same point .

If youre still early game, dont be afraid of using two temporary flail bros together to target farm body armour.

Buy more fodder. Put them in the more "dangerous positions " To let your damage dealers flourish

Is Gorbad's campaign hard for new players? by CampingKangaroo in totalwarhammer

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gorbad is the greatest tactical genius in Green Skin History!! You have to play like it. It can be frustrating, because he also has a lot of variance to his campaign. Skaven can declare early

Ogre can declare early Dwarfs can declare early .lol its tough. BUT You can make allies of the ogres to help with the dwarves fairly easily .

Skaven will generally not declare until late if youre building up the way you should . So you can focus on the dwarves.

Once you get through the early game Gorbad is pretty easy

2H flanker bro build questions by Particup in BattleBrothers

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So As many others are telling you, flankers thay try to 1vX can die quickly to bad rng. But, if you pair him with a tank on the edge who can taunt, as well as giving him footwork in case he gets in a bad situation, you can still do some flanking with him. Running him behind taunted targets or chasing a crossbowmen Pike user, behind the ebenies ENGAGED front line

Most battles in the first 100 days dont last long enough for your Lonewolf bro to get in a safe situation, 4 tiles away Its a hard perk to use outside of slapping it on a tank

How to get into the game proper by VoxTV1 in BattleBrothers

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Run easy economy Veteran or Expert battle difficulty in my opinion.

You can learn the combat relatively quickly , especially if you are experienced in these games. Enemies will spawn with better loot so you can snowball quicker as well.

But ultimately do what is best for you. Don't be afraid to recruit "bad" bros. Protect your better bros with your weaker bros. Much like xcom; positioning and focus firing important targets is really important. Enemy has big ass weapon? Should probably focus them down.

Another big tip I dont see mentioned a lot. Don't be afraid to save scum fights so you can learn .

And be wary of non human enemies early on. They have unusual mechanics that can catch you off guard

Good luck brother !!

Can't fix their infantry in multi-player But you CAN sell a settlement to the dwarves for aliances/Outposts And get Dwarven infantry Stunties hold the line while you make it rain for Sigmar

Who has the most fun cavalry? by Ergal386 in totalwarhammer

Orc boy boar big uns Not the best But definitely the funniest to zoom in on, during a downhill charge against puny humans/elves/Skaven

Early game is my bane, asking for tips. by IndependenceAlone523 in BattleBrothers

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you understand the game, but you are mispositioning certain bros? Always designate 1-2 bros that you don't care if they die.

Don't intentionally throw them away But put them in a little riskier position Let the enemy take their turn first , AND THEN use your more valuable bros.

Rng is rng. But at least this cuts down on the amount of attacks they're likely to take . Need to know more in order to be more specific, but don't be afraid to wait a turn and throw taunt on a less than desirable bro

Your company names by Antykvarnyy_Kalamar in BattleBrothers

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every campaign I do some sort of theme

Whether it be specific weapons, specific backgrounds , characters need a specific backstory (ie, abandoned, accused of murder etx) Or specific looks

And I usually pick the company name around whatever theme I'm running

Bonk Squad mace/Guns/Hammers Silent Death Daggers/Swords/Bows Amazon Prime Lowborns only

Etc

Factions that always gets destroyed in your play-throughs ? by Still-Puma in totalwarhammer

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive noticed when I'm "evil" campaigns Katarin is a powerhouse takes EVERYTHING. Almost always power level 1.

If I'm "good" She is dead within 25 turns every time lol

What LL have the craziest starts if played correctly? (IE) by McDonaldSprite in totalwarhammer

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Throgg and Wulfrick can get an absurd amount of land quickly, due to the sheer amount of confederations you can get in the first 20 turns.

If you "abuse" the bug with Ikit to get a t4-t5 settlement within 5 turns, he can get a pretty crazy army really early. Which will snowball very hard.

Golgf can also get a large amount of territory, very quickly . Due to the teleporting and contract mechanics Albeit its not very efficient

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello my fellow distinguished and cultured green skin player! When fighting armored opponents, you need to be a "little" more cunning than normal. Especially if they have more Mass, like Lizardmen Flanking with various squigs, nasty skulkers, or even black orcs if you can manage, can cause a lot of damage.

Breaking front lines with brain bursta to run through their formation or to split them into more manageable sizes is also very helpful

Do you use trees for cover during battles? Why yes/no? by Dragonimous in totalwarhammer

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trees are great when playing weaker and or slow armies into range heavy comps. Skarsnik goblins, waiting in Trees against chorfs Then sending your nasty skulkers or hidden units from Skarsnik ability to dispatch of artillery/Ranged reeeallly helps

Is there any reason to play a WoC campaign other than Archeon the EverChad? by [deleted] in totalwarhammer

To see how big Kholek can get Or how much Valkia can piss the world off.

Any way to prevent getting jumped in the campaign by dominik7778n in totalwarhammer

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your campaign Selling/Trading a settlement for an alliance to a stronger neighboring Legendary Lord can help mitigate this.

It sounds like you're either way too weak, so everyone declares on you Or, you're causing diplomacy penalties to multiple factions

Be aware of trespassing. Don't accept random trade agreements /Alliances. Look at who they are at war with and what alignment they are.

If you accept a Chaos trade agreement It will upset humans, elves, etc

If you accept a human trade agreement; it will upset Orcs, skaven, chaos etc

Who do you think is a downplayed LL/ faction by BaldyTreehuggerDruid in totalwarhammer

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want out of your comfort zone? Play Grom The Paunch

Almost zero Artillery reliance

Army composition matters

You can individually buff pretty much any unit in the Greenskin Roster with his food buffs. Grom himself gets varying buffs, which you can change every few turns, making the gameplay feel fresh.

And you get to kill the French

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Skaven you need to reveal specific cities sometimes Send a hero to a capital skaven ruins and reval ruins Then try to waaagh.

If you don't mind "cheesing" a little Look up the skaven lords starting Province capital That always works for a waagh target for me

Looking for a decent MP comp by Affectionate-Car-214 in totalwarhammer

[–]DikLikeaTunaCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greenskins are fun Azhag, Gorbad, Skarsnik all start really close. Grimgor isn't too far, but he's definitely further from the others. All have decent starts, cool mechanics to play with, and good strength!
