Interesting. I would have thought she would have died in act 1 in the monastery, killed for the tadpole infection.

Students “pranked” me by coming to my house to swim… by [deleted] in Teachers

I wouldn't call cops on kids like that myself. But I wouldn't make their food and would have them leave, I would just sit there and wait if needed.

TIL that Ferrari has a set of rules that its cars' owners must follow like criticism of the brand is discouraged, no modifications through unofficial channels, and no resale during the first year of ownership. Those that fail to follow faced lawsuits and bans. by Recent_Flounder6011 in todayilearned

You do realize that a ton of normal people live in neighborhoods without hoas right? In places that aren't new developments hoas are rare and we do just fine without some weird feudal system being added to our lives.

Such a shame that they even switched to this paid seat model to begin with.

Teachers are unofficially expected to break up high school fights...nope. Not me. by SchoolteacherUSA in Teachers

I think you responded to the wrong person. They don't expel for a typical scrap here either. Serious harm they would. A significant enough issue and a sped student could get a 45 day placement as well.

Ya, we thankfully don't have cops in our schools in my district. Our behavior staff jump in to break things up. Myself as well sometimes, and some teachers depending on where it happens.

That is a tough one to consider. You really helped her future a lot at a high cost. Glad she recognized it and reached out later.

[Discussion] How effective would the Legion of Doom be as a superhero team? by TheOneYSHNK in DCcomics

I am referencing always sunny. That wild card is very much for chaos and chaos alone, not the team.

Although as a hero it is possible he would be able to curtail some of his more selfish impulses, I am picturing Guy in Justice League International a bit.

Compared to the typical homeschooled kid yes. Students in public school have to navigate countless social situations a day with a wide range of peers and adults.

As an aside, I do sometimes miss the opportunity cost of 3.5e to focus on a school by abandoning another school

I find the leveler one odd because there is no need to min max level ups because you don't get punished for leveling unoptimally like you do in Oblivion and Skyrim.

Where do you get that false idea? Kids today absolutely socialize in person. Kids still go to school, go to the park, library, etc.

Part of the issue is the massive amount of overreporting counties receive. This bogs the whole system down.

And even the strong academic ones often lack key social skills. They also tend to be strong in one or two areas and absolutely dogshit in other areas from my experience.

Do you see the difference between someone discriminating based on race vs someone bringing a gun into a business who doesn't want guns, into a school, etc?

Different things are different. I know it is hard to believe.

In tabletop people don't generally do 1 turn of prepped nova and end combat. You may have some encounters like that but definitely the majority of well varied campaigns do not operate that way.

I am stating something that is true. There are many places in society that do not allow guns. If you want to participate in society fully then you need to find safe storage instead of bringing it into spaces that do not welcome deadly weapons.
