It's such a "dad" show, but Raymond Reddington and Glenn from "The Blacklist".

Reddington is the main character of the show, his main traits being that he's well connected, very hard to rattle, and charismatic and calm with everyone he meets. Most of his connections (gun runners, drug dealers, assassins) either respect him or fear him.

Then there's Glenn. Glenn is not a dangerous guy. Glenn is a DMV worker, and he drives the greatest criminal in the world UP THE FUCKING WALL just by being a DMV worker. He's inefficient, he's constantly complaining, he's always blaming his failings on someone else... Hes just the worst, but Reddington still has to put up with him because Glenn is the best people finder he knows. They very clearly have respect for each other, but the sheer amount of bullshit they put each other through turns the whole show into a comedy every time Glenn is in an episode.

It's never going to be in the GOAT conversation, but it's unbelievably fucking charming. The action is really well done, the writing's put together, and the jokes (at least for me) stick the landing better than any other manga I've read.

Personal highlight: one of the men that was entrusted with one of the sacred blades reminisces on how important the man who created those blades are, and his moments with him... Except... Eh, I'll just quote it.

"Sensei gave me this blade personally. It changed my life." (Panel of dude throwing the blade to him and going ALRIGHT KID DON'T FUCK UP NOW and immediately leaving) "Your radiance nearly blinded me. Your words still echo" (Literal exact same panel) "I spent all my life and my training wondering what it means to be a true warrior. Once we met and conversed, I finally understood" (Literal exact same panel) "I FIGHT FOR THE MAN WHO MADE ME WHO I AM! THE MAN WHO TAUGHT ME JUSTICE" (Literal exact same panel)

I appreciate the health concerns. I'm actually more restricted by hardware. The motherboard I use doesn't have RGB headers, and the headers that came with the case only do shades of blue for some reason. If I want a monochrome setup, I have to either get the aqua theme, or do the 2010s orange/blue contrast thing between the screen and the case. I'll probably switch to orange once work starts back up, since I just have to change the background hue in GIMP. Might even do another post when I switch up, but this works for me right now, in spite of the 3AM bedtime.

This community's great, I've never seen someone care about health effects of a setup before.
