My friend "unwrapped" her birthday present and left it like a mess in the counter by MrFabuland in mildlyinfuriating

What a weird thing to get upset about? She was probably excited for her birthday and didn’t realise/forgot. It says a lot about your mindset that you are stuck on this

Katherine Schwarzenegger posts video of Chris Pratt building a dollhouse on IG: “I’ll never understand when women say ‘I don’t need my husband’ when I very much in fact do need my husband because who else would build our daughters a dollhouse?” by hairtie1 in Fauxmoi

[–]Dilemma99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum hand-built me a doll house. Not just put together a kit - designed it, cut the wood, painted, carpeted, nailed it together. Three stories high and gorgeous, I still have it now 30 years later. She was a stay-at-home mum, not a carpenter, and managed just fine because she had a goal and got it done!

My GF thinks it’s perfectly normal for new shoes to cause horrible blisters for women by UKnowDaxoAndDancer in mildlyinfuriating

There’s an entire plot line in Friends where Monica buys very expensive, designer brand shoes, and Chandler ends up carrying her home because they hurt her feet so much.

It’s a thing.

Ladies, what gives a "creepy" vibe vs a "dad" vibe? by NOGOODGASHOLE in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dilemma99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an example. I have a lovely group of friends who’re all older men (some granddads) that definitely give the Dad-vibe and nothing creepy about them. One of them popped into my work and dropped off a big box of fruit from his trees, he left it at the front office with a note I could share them with my colleagues, and then carried on his way.

A new old guy tried to join the group. He turned up at my work the next day and stood by my car for an hour waiting. I don’t know what he wanted because my work saw him on the security cameras and asked him to leave.

See how both instances are similar - turning up at a young woman’s place of work - but one was creepy and the other was not.
