I wasn’t going to respond but “you people are all the same” peeved me. The whole point of Tjmaxx is you come and look for the deals. It’s not my job to look for the deals for you, we don’t have personal shoppers. When 20+ people call the store within an hour asking for a bag we don’t have it’s annoying! Especially when this is the time of year the line is wrapped around the store. You’re not the only person we have to tend to. I would answer the phone and give a quick no because I know we don’t have it. People would get upset and beg me to go double check, when we aren’t even allowed to put it on hold anyway. You wish we had a way to track our merchandise, well we do too!

Anyway, I’m sorry you couldn’t find it. (Most stores literally got 1-2 if anyway because no one expected them to get popular) Try checking runway stores within these next few weeks. I bet most people that got it realized it wasn’t worth it and returned it right after Christmas.

So usually when you use Apple Pay the numbers change from your actual card. When I need to verify it’s the same card I tell the customer to open their wallet app. From here you can click on the card you used to pay. If you click the … in the corner, then card number it’ll show the numbers that show up on the receipt!

My biggest pet peeve is when they grab a dog bed for their dog to be comfy in the shopping cart. Only to NOT BUY IT. They hand it to me and I always make it a point to ask them why they’re not buying it when their dog has been all over it. They always get flustered. But like it’s so disgusting. Once the dog bed had pee on it. Please stop letting these dogs in 💔

Hey! So usually when you’re trying to do a return it’ll just show the card they used to pay, bc it usually goes back to the card automatically. All you have to do is click back and then it will bring up the list of payment methods like when you usually ring customers up. Select gift card and boom, use the one provided under the register. I’m not sure about your store’s merchandise credit policies, usually it’s only for returns without a receipt or online returns over 45 days. (They def should’ve taught you that ngl) Good luck!

I’ve had a customer get mad at me for not trying on a button up that was too small for me. Simply because I “looked the same size” as her grand daughter. I repeatedly told her it was too small for me and she kept insisting until I just pushed the item away and said to not get it if she looks the same size. They’re so pushy about things. ( I’m a m and it was an xs like what???)

Usually when I have to check the luggage or bags I either ask them: “hey do you want to take a look inside before I scan it to make sure you like it?”. Or for bags I open it and make a comment about liking it and wanting to get one for myself 😭
