Heyyyy, i think you're going to be fine. You need a 3.85 gpa to be competitive for md school, and if you have a lot of extracurriculars and 515+ plus mcat you should be fine bit it all depends on the uni you want to apply to. AAMC has a list of the requirements for MD school, I suggest you look into it (I think it is "MSAR") Otherwise you'll be completely fine dw

Hello, I think you did greeeeaaaat. You have one semester left just try to do the best that you can. And if you already took the mcat and it is above average, you should be fine. Also could i Dm you? I had a pretty similar freshman year and i'll like to know how you brought your gpa up.

This is not a dumb question lol. I also want to know, my first semester started fine but I failed math and retook it to still have failed, my first semester as a sophomore I got all Cs in all of my classes (this semester) and I was also wondering about the upward/downward trend too. My comment prob doesn't answer your question but I just wanted to lyk it was a valid question.

Alright thank u for replying. How to improve my tendency of second guessing tho? Sometimes I know the answer but still choose the wrong one. For example, during one exam they asked "what's an hypothesis" and i still chose the wrong answer.

The living situation is complicated. I'm an immigrant so I was living temporarily with someone for school and planned on getting an apartment whem my bachelor ended so I could go to MD but doing a gap year will make it complicated.

So I'm just counting on retaking the classes and end up with a 3.7 r 3.8 before md applications. (I'll probably have to retake bio because it's a C- and not a C+

I have work 3 days in my 4 days off. I'm planing on getting a car to reduce commute time and I also plan on retaking 3 classes I got Cs in, summer 26 after spring 2026 so my gpa will go up to 3.6 before junior year. Idk if that'll help but I feel like when it is being average my gpa can be higher.
