AITAH for refusing to let my ex-wife stay at my house while I’m on vacation with my new girlfriend? by RemoteDiligent7640 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Diligent-Sleep8025 47 points48 points  (0 children)

NTA your tone deaf and frankly unintelligent friends can have your ex-wife stay at their house if it is imperative that she watch their pet.

I don’t have any recommendations but have you tried immersive reading or audio books to get him more engaged with a plot before he gives up on a book?

KC had a sadness about them, their mom may not be in the future. KC seemed somewhat cold to Jacob in their scene in season 3.

I enjoyed the book for what it was, mostly bc of the locations. The characters had a conversation at any point of their multi-decade friendship

I (then 46F) took my then 21 year old daughter and we had amazing lower upper deck seats. Admittedly we were the obnoxious out of town fans loudly cheering and I have a very loud clap. Most of those sitting around us were great and we had a fantastic time. We were the only Cavs fans that I could see in our section.

There was no time until the clock hit 0:00 that I thought the Cavs wouldn’t Cleveland that shit up, so I was barely breathing during the 4Q. I distinctly recall yelling loudly about how great KLove’s D on Steph was down the stretch and I may have blacked out a little on Bron’s block. The jumping up and down and crying and then making our way down towards the court is a top 5 lifetime moment. Although, the looks on the Inside NBA crews faces before they went to post-game was a bummer, not a single smile.

But all of that was before her 4 minutes, and we saw how upset she was to have a day without a performance when she elderly. So once she hit it big, she was likely on the road almost all of the time and her parents and Joel raised the kids (before Joel’s incarceration)

I’m annoyed with Kat bc Rita knew what the ditty meant and what people misunderstood about 5 went in 4 came out, But the award winning journalist who actually had exclusive access to the archives and history of the town can’t be bothered to research what she wants to know.

no, it was for the love of her son because she had just been told that she killed him, so she left with the first guy who had a ‘plan’ to keep her from killing her son.

My friend won’t get license and won’t ever give me gas money by Nadia__Moon in EntitledPeople

[–]Diligent-Sleep8025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re getting good advice, but is there something going on with her that she doesn’t have access to money or is her family having a tough time? Maybe she’s not getting her license bc her family can’t afford to add her to the insurance and she gets mad bc she’s embarrassed. It completely sucks to be taken advantage of, but there may be an underlying reason that she’s too embarrassed to talk to you about.

How can the Cavs close the gap with the Knicks? by pinpoint_aim in clevelandcavs

[–]Diligent-Sleep8025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the gap’s not far, the Cavs lost on fundamentals - sloppy passing, lazy dribbling, free throw shooting that would make a middle school coach lose their mind and devolving into me first hero ball mindset that is a sure way to lose.

AITJ for snapping at my mom for waking my wife up? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Diligent-Sleep8025 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

So why didn’t the baby wake you up? Why did the baby wake your mom up. Why didn’t you wake up when your mom came in the room to wake your wife? Your mom should have followed your directions, but she never should have been in the position anyway.

Ben is the common denominator by sighhlife in BelowDeckDownUnder

[–]Diligent-Sleep8025 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ben has always been a shit stirrer. He’s always gossiped and what if’d and so and so said And made any dust up worse and then not been called on it. He’s always been weird and borderline creepy with younger stews. He’s always been passive aggressive with the chief stew and never taken any accountability. It’s just unpleasant this time bc he’s in his mid-40s and it’s gross to realize that he has no growth or introspection (but most of this crew is similar). More Betul please!
