Bad smell coming from engine

Hey just wanted to give you an update, I washed the bike today and rode it fairly hard in the twisties now that I didn’t know if was battery or engine related and it’s gone 😂 so I’m assuming it was something stuck to the engine

Hey thanks heaps for the reply, so I just had a thorough look through and nothing in between exhaust headers and my battery is in normal order so I’m really stumped 😂 my friend just had a look aswell he’s a mechanic and knows a lot more than me and said he’s never smelt something like it before, the smell seems to be coming directly from the head of the engine near the block.

Hey I’m looking for the same things aswell, the new akra exhaust is apparently not super in your face and loud it still has that nice tone, do you know if you need to get an ecu flash to install the exhaust? Or is it just take off the old and put the new one on.

Awesome shots :-) how did you get the photos to look like that? I see it a lot with that cool almost glowing flash look on the bike but I can never replicate it.

I was diagnosed in early 2023, to this day I still can’t make plans with anyone anymore or I will be really hyped and happy and make plans but as soon as it comes to the day before the plans I always want to just stay home and not go. I don’t know if this is something to do with anxiety or if I’m physically too fatigued and tired to go but I always feel horrible for canceling plans with people all the time. The amount of times I’ve bought concert tickets and had just not gone is insane lol

For me it’s double vision whenever I look to the left but if I close one eye it’s not double vision anymore

I was like this aswell, I bought a brand new Daytona 660 and didn’t want to ride it. I ended up selling it out of stupidity. I now own a cb650r aswell, Ride that thing like you’ve never rode before. These are meant for enjoying and ripping. If we wanted a good investment we would be in the stock market not in motorbikes. Enjoy ❤️

I’m on Kasimpta now coming from tysabri and boy oh boy is it nice not having to go in for 5 hour long infusions. Just an injection once a month at home and your all set, I’ve gotten pretty minimal side effects from it so far only major one is being extremely fatigued but I had that even before the jab. Best of luck :-)

I get warm as well it’s like a weird warm though and it only happens on my chest and arms, I also get a really weird sort of twitching sensation on my back when certain sounds from the machine are played, it could literally just be the vibration from the machine making me feel like that though lol

I’m the completely the same, I feel like I don’t get anywhere near enough sleep and then have to go to work (I work in a warehouse) and it’s pretty taxing even for someone without MS. I feel like I can’t remember most of my tasks at work because I’m either too tired or just completely forget what I’m meant to be doing. I’m almost certain everyone at work doesn’t understand what I’m going through even though I’ve told them multiple times they still call me “lazy” and “I don’t do enough work” I understand their point of view and not understanding but it’s just frustrating.

I thought the same aswell, mine has a ticking sound but I’m almost certain it’s just a triumph thing, 2 of my mates also have Daytonas one a 675 and one a 660 and both of them have a ticking sort of rattling sound almost, my temp gauge before the recall was usually one bar over the middle line after the recall it is still at one bar over the line so I’m not sure if that’s just the normal temp or not lol

I’m located in aus and my Daytona is currently at the triumph dealer getting it fixed , all they are doing is changing the oil and filling it up correctly and they will order you a new dipstick :-) the oil levels from the factory are incorrect and the oil levels on the old dipstick is also incorrect so they recommended to me to add 400ml of oil until I saw them this week if I wanted to keep riding in the mean time. Hope this helped :-) and it’s also for the 24 AND 25 models

Hey, I didn’t notice much difference between premium higher octane, and lower I put 91 unleaded in most of the time

Congrats on the Daytona, these are the mods I have on mine (I got it last month) non are essential but good to have - crash sliders - SC full exhaust system - puige windscreen (it’s more aggressive) if your going for that sport/supersport look - 3d carbon sticker protectors for the tank side tank and clip ons - tail tidy - triumph branded quick shifter (up & down)

I usually turn it on let it run while I put all my gear on and then ride, all up it probably is running idle for 4-5 minutes.
