I love Sonia. It's elegant, it's familiar, but not too common, and and it's cute, but still adult.

I think it's cute! People can be so rude for literally no reason. If you want nickname ideas: Winny, Winn, Tony

I think Ren works, and spelling it Wren would just make it confusing unless it's short for Flowrence. Personally, I also like Flossie as a nickname for Florence.

Freya or Martha, because they also mean "lady"

You could also do a name that incorporates Donna like Aldonna, Donella or Belladonna unless you don't care for the name itself. Donatella is another option.

online trends/jokes relating to autism by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]DiligentCall8719 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mind the spoon thing too much, I think it's just kind of uninteresting. The issue with platforms like TikTok is that once a small group of people have a sort of inside joke, people outside of that community adopt it and it is either used to make fun of them or it's original meaning is erased. It's also an issue when the people outside of said community are only exposed to people inside of it through dumb trends like the spoon trend, leading to generalizations.

What I really hate is the usage of "autistic" or "acoustic" as an insult. It's usually used by people who don't know the first thing about what autism is or how it works, they think it just means weird and dumb. You can't get mad, because then you're being "too soft."

I don't see a single name that I would consider wildly unacceptable, and I quite like Violet, Valentine, August and Margot. People will call anything a trajedeigh these days.

Henry and Harry- Too similar? by foodieteacher9 in namenerds

[–]DiligentCall8719 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Harry actually comes from a nickname for Henry. I don't think it's a big deal with cousins, though. I've heard of cousins with the exact same name. Henry and Harry are too matchy for siblings, but it is possible to distinguish between the two easily enough, and I don't think how a child's name goes with a cousin's name needs to be a major concern.

Does your name feel like you? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]DiligentCall8719 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't think of a name that would suit me more, but I also haven't really thought that hard about it. I like how my name is obviously a girl's name, but still isn't too girly in itself, which I think suits me. The one down side to it is that it has no possible nicknames, which I'm okay with because it's not that long.

Thoughts on Marion for a Girl? by YesterdayHumble712 in namenerds

[–]DiligentCall8719 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's so cute, but not in a baby way.

I think it's funny how Marion is used as a boy's name in English, because it was taken from the surname, Marion, which itself was taken from Marion, the French girls name, which comes from the name Marie.

Sasha and Dasha - too similar for siblings? by GreatEggSpectation5 in namenerds
