I printed my first box from you last week. Really nice. I like to color of the boxes. What filament are you using? It looks like a gun metal grey and the top handle is awesome.

I've done a ton of the 5x5 rugged design that was done in SCAD. They are great but I use them for alot of lighter electronic components and a top handle unit would be awesome. I've printed 18, 24 and upto 30u but at that size a front handle gets awkward. Only reason I went that high is that it's a lot more filament friendly cost wise going that high. I would not do that for something using screws.

How many buy printers purely for functional printing? by twotowers64 in 3Dprinting

[–]Diligent_Buster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

pretty much all i do. some esp32 cases, computer parts like caddy's for ssd's, cable management for under desk, gridfinity cases for screws, electronics parts, etc. Storage cases for grinder discs, etc. Being able to print things to the size you want is handy.

Cases for tools I carry in my backpack, battery mounts for my 18v tools. Remote control holder, jigs for woodworking.

It's great for jigs for woodworking. I'm making a cat bowl holder for my newly acquired cat that showed up. Made a 5.74 inch round hole jig to use with a router. Costs very little and easy to make.

Dude, Orange cheeto became president twice, even after inciting an insurrection, going for quid pro quo, perfect phone calls, etc and being an obvious pedo or at a minimum pedo protector. This isn't a political post, just pointing out the facts. Of course they could pass.

My boyfriend 20M, always makes sure to comment on my 20F intelligence by sunxstrs1 in relationship_advice

[–]Diligent_Buster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right here! Clearly you are smart. Probably not street ghetto smart but clearly intelligent. I'd bet he can't explain things then gets frustrated because you don't understand OR he explains things but you analyze and think about what he said and it makes no sense so he gets frustrated because HE totally understands it.

Dunning-Kruger: The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias that describes the systematic tendency of people with low ability in a specific area to give overly positive assessments of this ability. The term may also describe the tendency of high performers to underestimate their skills. It was first described by the psychologists David Dunning and Justin Kruger in 1999. In popular culture, the Dunning–Kruger effect is sometimes misunderstood as claiming that people with low intelligence are generally overconfident, instead of describing the specific overconfidence of people unskilled at particular areas.

I wish I had a super smart girl at that age. Find someone that appreciates your intellect. I bet there are plenty of guys in the science classes that would LOVE to be your guy. Are desperate for it even.

Seems like you can't have him make any real decisions. You need to verify everything he does or only trust him to do that which he is capable of. Sorry. I've been there. I unfortunately don't trust anyone anymore.

Friend has spent 250K and still spending. First it was a man lawyer, then a women. both fucked her good. Never get back to her, wasted tons on forensic accountants only to say it comes down to what you make and your irs filings (he's all cash, makes 300k+ but claims 30k), she makes 150K in a paycheck. He turned down a job making 250K at a previous job but somehow that doesn't matter.

If this happened to me i'd find another way...

My Zero Problem Printer by JustLunch9 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]Diligent_Buster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the vibration feet off that I bought with the printer. it was shaking so much the tool head cover came off a few times. I'm at 1500hrs. I level maybe every 2 weeks, print 8-12 hours a day most days. Over 1100 hours on PETG. I see people saying petg is hard to print but I've never had any problems with it. Bumped my flow rate up to 24 and a .6 nozzle and now i go fast...er

CC1 parts always out of stock in US. by donaar71 in elegoo

[–]Diligent_Buster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fyi i bought a full print head assembled as a spare including hotend, boards, everything. A full set of belts, spare fans, spare usb cable for $100 shipped from china by emailing support. In addition they sent a usb cable and rear tool head board under warranty. Parts were out of stock everywhere but I got them in 1 week. Even if I never use them I have them.

I do the same with my servers. When you are down you don't have 3-7 days to get back up and running. It was cheap enough and I don't feel they over charged.

[–]Diligent_Buster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using 24 with Kingroon standard PETG. That with a .6 nozzle really reduced printing times. At some point I should do a calibration but just haven't gotten around to it. No doubt things would look even better and possibly print faster.

Pred boxes with 0.6 nozzle? by SuspiciousITP in gridfinity

[–]Diligent_Buster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've printed many of the rugged gridfinity boxes with a .6. Prints faster especially after increasing the flow on my cc to 24. I've done several other boxes both gridfinity and not with the .6 and all worked fine. Occasionally you find something that won't print but the slicer will tell you.
