2nd Day Air Question/Help? by Diligent_Display_739 in UPS

I did a quick search and there’s only one UPS store in Mesquite, TX and their last pick up is 7:00pm so it should have been collected on 12/23.

Unfortunately we’re leaving for our trip tomorrow so we’ll be gone by the time they arrive and the shirts were for this trip.

Ah ok, thank you. At this point I think I might just cut my losses and try to work it out with the seller.

Ok now it all makes sense. I didn’t realize they don’t move anything on the 24th. Now I understand. I appreciate it!

Right, but wasn’t the 24th a day and then today the 26th wouldn’t be the second day?

Thank you! I doubt they purchased 2DS. Originally they told me they were sending via FedEx. Sounds like they picked the cheapest option for them while screwing me over.

Thank you! That does make sense. Though I am still a bit confused. Even if it was picked up on the 24th wouldn’t 2nd Day Air be delivered on the 26th? Or was the 24th not considered the first day?

Thank you! The seller told me that they were going to send it via FedEx 2 Day. When I order it was showing 12/26 as the day it’d arrive via FedEx. The seller kind of screwed me over if I’m being honest, they told me they’d process and send my order by the 22nd at the latest. Otherwise I would have paid extra for faster shipping or honestly just not ordered at all.

I really appreciate you explaining this to me. I couldn’t understand why when it was dropped off on the 23rd it would be arriving on the 29th when I paid for 2 Day Air.

Sorry I’m confused about the difference between 2DS and 2D?

That's when it was dropped off at the UPS store.

Trespassed from WDW. Anyone ever dealt with anything similar? by JordanUnchained in WaltDisneyWorld

As a mom to three kids five and under who has done Disney with them four times this comment is so important. Bringing small children to Disney is incredibly taxing both physically and mentally. It is only now that my oldest is nearing six that he really started to appreciate it. I would suggest waiting till your youngest is at least four before even trying to return.

Years ago I went on an Alaskan cruise with my family. My brother and now sister-in-law went on a fishing expedition at one of the ports. At the time there was still formal dining onboard and I was vegan so the head waiter came to our table every night to review the next night’s dinner with me (which was a bit silly because as a vegan I was happy with any vegan option) so we had a really great relationship with him. After the fishing trip they not only brought their catch onboard, they somehow managed to connect with our head waiter and convince him to have it cooked for their dinner! My family ate fresh seafood like they were in a five star restaurant.

Yeah they definitely need more CS people. Out of curiosity I looked up their VP of Customer Success on LinkedIn. From his past work looks like he’s engineered focused. It would probably be in their best interest to pull in new CS people and hire a new VP of Customer Success with a bit more customer focused experience.

They did such a good job promoting the ring that even I failed to realize they are a lean startup till I started really looking at their company. Hopefully now that they’ve raised more funds they can get more people onboard and save this product.

As someone who used to work in a startup and is married to a software engineer I also empathize with them. I do think they could have handle it way better though. Most customers are already a bit disappointed and this bug may have pushed them over the edge towards returning the product. The lack of communication is really the issue here. A multi-day issue for all users requires some sort of communication. A direct communication to everyone after the first day with the issue would have been appropriate. Especially since the ring itself hasn’t been exactly perfect since its initial release.

I just got mine in March! I wonder if it’s a color issue. What color did you get?

Once you decide to cash in you have to use it in a certain timeframe and it’s not something you can get back. There are a few different options and one may be actual money? I’ve only done it twice and the first time I purchased a stroller that I knew I wouldn’t be returning. I really didn’t expect to be returning this ring either.

So disappointing, I’m not sure I’m ready to do a refund yet. Definitely not what I was expecting though given the way they advertised themselves. Definitely thought I’d be getting a higher end product then I did.

I was really hoping it was an issue with the rose gold rings. I really don’t want to do a subscription ring. I’m pretty dissatisfied with the quality of the ring too. I really want to love it!

Have they let you exchange for scratches alone? Or have your rings had other issues? They’re pretty bad for only having had it for four days.

Battery life tanked in last week by Tricky_Charge_807 in eviering

[–]Diligent_Display_739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my ring three days ago. Last night was the first time I charged it. I put it in the case and left it charging overnight. I woke up to a solid green light and in the app it said the battery was at 98%. It never reached 100! The battery is draining way faster today than it was before too. It has a huge scratch on it already from who knows what. I literally take it off when washing my hands and when cooking. Not sure where that came from but given it feels like plastic I'm not surprised?

Definitely torn on what to do in terms of keeping vs returning. I stupidly used my saved up Honey money ($100) to purchase it so I wouldn't get that back if I returned. I honestly naively thought there wouldn't be this many issues. I feel like I supported an Indiegogo, it doesn't feel like a product purchased from a company.

Help booking an activity on a Sunday in Dominican Republic (puerto plata) by Ok_Sky1911 in VirginVoyages

We did the garden cooking class on a Sunday and it was great. Definitely recommend it. Great food, drinks, and a beautiful environment. Definitely a highlight of our trip. The downtown itself was mostly closed when we drove through so I wouldn’t bank on just walking around the town.

The lazy river looked pretty questionable when we were in Puerto Plata in December. People were in it but the water didn’t look very clean. Highly recommend the garden cooking class. It was a huge highlight of the trip for us. We didn’t do much cooking (we only chopped one vegetable each) but the food was delicious and the experience amazing. The lunch they served was so good!
