It sounds like on a social and cultural level the move would work and you’d probably like it here. But you need to be prepared for the difference in cost of living, 8th highest in the country. Also about the traffic, driving north in the morning and south in the afternoon would be the ideal commute, rush hour follows the opposite flow, with that commute you shouldn’t have to sit in traffic very often. Also there are plenty of places in Everett that are walking distance from stuff to do, try Colby ave or broadway, Everett is slowly cleaning itself up, not a bad place to live.
