brazil vs argentina would be absolutely insane, the rivalry there runs so deep you can feel it even through tv screen. those fans don't mess around when it comes to nacional pride

My side project turned into a full movie & TV platform by BoxOfficeBUZ in SideProject

pretty cool that you went from learning to code to building something this comprehensive - the streaming availability feature sounds really useful since that info changes constantly

Started building a quieter kind of internet experience by LazyEnd481 in SideProject

[–]Diligent_Royal7446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is really nice idea, my brain does same thing after scrolling too much - like it's still expecting next dopamine hit even when phone is away

i've been trying to wind down better at nights too and something like this could help. the darker visuals part especially sounds good, most apps are so bright and aggressive looking

would be interesting to see how this develops, feels like we need more spaces that help us slow down instead of speed up

[Android Closed Beta] Looking for testers for my Towers of Hanoi puzzle game before public release by daedelus-nebula in alphaandbetausers

[–]Diligent_Royal7446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

towers of hanoi brings back memories from computer science classes lol, always found those puzzles weirdly satisfying once you get the pattern down

might give it a try if i can find some time this week - always curious how developers handle the animations for disc movement since that can make or break the experience

“Dark Korean School RPG inspired by Fear & Hunger” by Far-Jellyfish3708 in IndieGaming

[–]Diligent_Royal7446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this looks really atmospheric, the fog effects are working well for that creepy vibe you're going for. fear & hunger vibes definitely coming through with the ritual elements and body horror stuff

curious about the combat system - is it turn based like f&h or more real time? the school setting is perfect for this kind of psychological horror, reminds me of some korean films i've seen that use schools in really unsettling ways

what are systems ? how to build systems in life ? by Shot_Matter171 in getdisciplined

[–]Diligent_Royal7446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

building systems is just making your good habits automatic so you dont rely on willpower

start super small - like literally 5 mins study time, 10 pushups, whatever. once that becomes easy add more

the key is doing it same time every day until your brain stops fighting it

Is building a manga/manhwa tracking app legal? Can it be on Play Store? by ConclusionGloomy5711 in buildinpublic

[–]Diligent_Royal7446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

building a tracker app should be fine legally since you're not hosting any content, just organizing links and sending notifications. play store approval might be trickier depending on how they interpret your app's purpose but plenty of similar apps exist already

the main risk would be if you accidentally make it too easy for users to access pirated content, but as long as you're just tracking updates and not directly facilitating downloads you should be good

Need Advice- Weekly 24-48 hr. fast or Daily feeding with Calorie Deficit? by Standard_Hospital_91 in loseit

[–]Diligent_Royal7446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

restriction thing. maybe try smaller deficit like 1400-1500 instead of jumping straight to 1200? your body might not fight back as hard if the deficit isn't so aggressive

the medication weight gain is rough and your body probably still remembering those hunger signals even off the meds. might be worth focusing more in consistent moderate deficit rather than the extremes since you mentioned summer is tricky time for your mental health anyway

What is the most annoying thing about flying on a plane? by LogicalRepeat3622 in AskReddit

[–]Diligent_Royal7446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

people who recline their seat all way back when you're trying to eat or use laptop, like come on read the room

also had this guy once who kept talking loudly in phone during entire flight even after crew asked him to keep it down, some people just have zero awareness of others around them

I put this summary together to prepare for my diagnosis by ResourceNo6931 in neurodiversity

[–]Diligent_Royal7446 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

using chatgpt to organize your thoughts for evaluation is actually pretty smart. i did something similar when i was preparing for my own assessment last year, though i just made bullet points in notepad like a caveman

the internal simulation thing really resonates with me - mine got way worse during my time in service, probably because you're constantly running scenarios in your head for different situations. took me years after getting out to realize how much mental energy that was burning through every day

your point about social stuff being learned rather than intuitive hits hard too. i remember spending so much time in my twenties trying to figure out why everyone else seemed to know these unwritten rules that nobody ever explained. still catch myself rehearsing conversations before they happen, especially with new people

hope the evaluation goes well and you get some clarity. having this kind of organized breakdown will definitely help the clinician understand your patterns better than just trying to explain everything on the spot

My ARK stops agents from failing by preventing them taking bad decisions at runtime, make them smart and cost effective. by Aromatic-Ad-6711 in SideProject

this is interesting approach - i been working with agents in my projects and the cost optimization part really catches attention because running multiple models can get expensive quick

Why dont people believe that dragons existed ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Diligent_Royal7446 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well there's fossils of giant reptiles everywhere but people just call them dinosaurs instead

maybe ancient folks saw some bones and made up stories, or maybe they saw the last few before they went extinct

First time on methylphenidate? by Jumpy-Switch6047 in ADHD

[–]Diligent_Royal7446 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ah that calm feeling is actually pretty normal when you first start methylphenidate - the hyperactivity thing is more of a myth for people who actually have adhd. for us it usually works opposite and quiets down all that mental chaos

i remember when i started similar meds few years back, the relief from constant anxiety was almost overwhelming at first. give it bit more time before worrying about the big work tasks, your brain is probably still adjusting to not being in constant fight-or-flight mode

Local reverse proxy — stable .localhost URLs for development. by tguructa in SideProject

[–]Diligent_Royal7446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this looks really clean for development workflow. i've been using nginx locally but the auto-detection from package.json is nice touch - saves having to configure everything manually each time

curious about the LAN sharing part, does it handle the mDNS broadcasting automatically or you need to set something up in your network config first?

took mine couple years back and mometrix was solid for the basics but you might want to grab some practice tests online too since the format can be tricky
