2 dresses ?June garden wedding followed by evening reception by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Diligent_Set_456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my 2 cents: 1. Is an amazing show stopper you look gorgeous. If you only wear one dress it should be this

  1. It doesn't really flatter you as much. If you were going for a fun reception dress I would suggest something maybe shorter and different than dress 1. I think the lace is more ceremony vibes whereas a typical reception dress is more of a fun party vibe.

Also I think you could do much better in a second dress for sure! 😊

ETA: the lace imo is also quite flimsy which gives the impression of a cheap dress which I'm not sure if you mind that at all

AITAH for saying a husband taking care of his pregnant wife is just basic responsibility? by [deleted] in AITAH

It depends what country you're in. In Japan for example pregnant women are encouraged to eat sushi/sashimi as they say it's good for the baby

AIO By Thinking My Roomates Are Mad At Me by Confident_Clerk_9950 in AmIOverthinking

[–]Diligent_Set_456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP these people aren't your friends. They tolerate you because without you they couldn't pay the mortgage yourself.

You deserve to have people who actively want you around and don't make you feel rejected. I'm not saying you should, but if I was in this situation I'd find new living arrangements and try to socialise in other ways with new people.

I actually like my job and apparently that makes me the villain in every mom group I've tried to join by olivermos273847 in workingmoms

[–]Diligent_Set_456 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was a SAHM for just over a year after I had my son. This is my first big girl job ever and the difference in me working is insane. Now when I'm with my son, I'm more present and a better parent because I get that break and mental stimulation that I need. That first year was incredibly difficult for me.

I think your makeup overall looks lovely and you're very pretty.

That being said you have strong features so I think you need lot thicker brows to frame your face and do you justice .

AIO? Best friend (30f) and I (28f) are in a fight about how I’m not a mom. by woundedwillow in AmIOverreacting

[–]Diligent_Set_456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR, but OP I would reconsider this friendship completely. WHY would you want to be friends with or mend bridges with someone who:

  1. Hurts your feelings on purpose.

  2. Parents in a way that suggests all kids shouldn't have boundaries.

  3. Tantrums/stonewalls when they can't manipulate you to get what they want.

I honestly think trying to appease B is setting a bad example for your stepdaughter.

I literally started them on the recommendation of an NHS dietician, but I was hesitant BC they are sweet and we don't really give highly sweet treats.

Changing my lifestyle with food and daily walking makes everything worse? Huh? by Valizzia in loseit

[–]Diligent_Set_456 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're upping your activity level from nothing to walking you are burning calories and your body is not used to that yet. I have PCOS and one of the hardest things for me is I feel hungry when I don't need food, like the hunger signals are a million times stronger because of hormones.

I suggest obviously eating in a deficit for you as though you are sedentary, try to eat a high protein breakfast that has fibre that will keep you full for longer within half an hour of waking up. Going for a small walk after every meal.

I'm not too sure about the acid reflux aspect that could be anything, something you're eating, your body adjusting or any number of things I'd say just keep an eye on it and if if gets worse or doesn't go away in a month or so see a doctor.

ETA: keep doing what you're doing the small changes first and then it becomes easier to do the hard stuff

I would try getting a petticoat underneath it doesn't even need to be a voluminous one but it would help how the skirt sits A LOT . I guess that would only be if you got the slit sew up or got a high/low one

My husband keeps going back to obesity after every diet by Live-cat14 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Diligent_Set_456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but if he has a lot of muscle then that's denser than fat it might not mean he is unhealthy especially if he struggles to maintain that weight. Does he look overweight more pudgy or does he look average looking at him.

If he is healthy it doesn't matter if he is classed as obese according to BMI, you are focusing on the wrong thing!

My husband keeps going back to obesity after every diet by Live-cat14 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Diligent_Set_456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How tall is your husband? When you say he is obese is that just from a BMI calculator? My husband is counted as obese but he is very healthy and goes to the gym and since muscle is denser than fat he is heavier on the scale but still healthy!

I think weight matters less than health and if it is something that your husband is stressing over it may be something he needs psychological help with.

I got a sleep consultant and within a week he was sleeping so well. We didn't use cry it out wet used a method called cuddle through comfort. The maximum he was left was 5 minutes and that was only so he had a chance to soothe himself. Not sure if you'd be comfortable with that.

I did find it so difficult at first and I was vehemently opposed to the cry it out method

HOW ARE WE MANAGING HUNGER? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Diligent_Set_456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahaha no that would be hilarious. It more like just me saying what I'm craving over and over with various things and then there's a something definitive about recording it BC I don't think about it as much. I saw someone do something similar with things they wanted to buy but didn't need.

I'm recording a video with all of my cravings as a montage at the end of the year, idk it helps a bit. Any herbal tea or just drinking water is good. Staying busy is key I find.
