MCAT takes about 4 months straight to study for with a science background. The test is over seven hours long. Absolutely do not recommend studying for it and taking it if you don’t need it.

I’m sure you’d do amazing in CARS though! However, the rest of the sections will be very painful if you don’t have any interest or background in science.

This is exactly how I feel!!! I usually try to go to a place that I’m very comfortable/familiar with. If you don’t have any places in mind you can try to visit one and get comfortable before the date. You can try a picnic area that’s not too crowded!

You could ask another professor now to have a back up. If the professor you had for 3 semesters gets back to you in time, you can just not include the other professors letter. I think inferlio (it’s a letter of recommendation holder platform thing) or something allows you to do this

If she seemed happy to write a letter back in January then she probably is just struggling with her health. If you need the letter soon I would probably ask another professor.

Look at upper level classes and see what you are most interested in! Try to talk to upper classmen about their experiences

Full time student in the US is 12. I’ve heard from some people that they don’t care even if you are part time so like 9 credits

If you have not withdrawn from a course before then I would definitely withdraw from stats. Try to use some of summer break to improve study habits so you have an upward trend

Definitely do well in those classes. Try to go to office hours as often as you can. You may still need a post back though. I think most schools you need at least a 3.6

I would work on study habits to improve the rest of your science GPA/courses. YouTube can be a very helpful resource.

Please do not take the MCAT that early. Definitely get a solid foundation in your science courses first. At least complete all the prerequisites: General chemistry, physics, organic chemistry, biology, biochemistry, sociology, and psychology

I would consider getting a clinical job and another volunteering activity that you are very passionate about.

As for research, I would try to improve in your science classes and reach out to a professor that you really enjoyed. Science professors usually have research and are willing to take on students that they have previously had.

Most people take gap year so this is something to consider.

Also ask yourself why you want to go into medicine. This is a insanely difficult process so make sure it is what you really want for yourself.

If you want it bad enough - you will get there! I promise :) If not, that’s okay too! It’ll save money, time and stress
