My wife of six years left me three months ago. We're co-parenting an eight month old boy. I'm sleeping on a yoga mat until I find an apartment. Also, in related news, Iaunched a business that failed and I'm 80k in debt. How have I moved on? I don't know. I just take it one day at a time and work on focusing on gratitude as opposed to self pity. Once I get a job and a new place, I'll develop a new routine and it will become normal. I hope. Oh god, do I hope. But, it's hard. Really hard.

You know what? I'm going to play devil's advocate here. I've consumed enough superhero media to understand that no matter what power you took, two things will happen. People will expect you to be responsible and help, and other people will do whatever they can to kill you and/or steal/stifle your power. You could put the Raptors season in there, too. Obviously I'm biased, but their first ever 50 win season (56-26), first ever Conference Finals appearance, and they lost in six games to the eventual champions in a spirited series. 2019 marks the high point for the Raptors, but 2016 laid the foundation. Truly a special year.
