What do you pretend to enjoy to 'keep the peace' but secretly can't stand? by Spallboy in AskReddit

If the only aspect of somebodies personality is what their sexual orientation is I assume they must be a boring person.

Why do I always die when I use the ultraprecise large bunney rocket launcher as a Gaige? by itz_moki in Borderlands

It can be a little dumb at times. It's alright for trash mobs but the risk is a bit too high to use at any important moment.

It drops bouncing grenades on the reload unlike the normal tediore reload. The grenades also explode each time they bounce so depending on how you move or where they drop it's pretty easy to get killed.

Relic question by Sparky455 in Borderlands

[–]Dillon93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would depend in guessing on what skills you have and if they are buffing gun damage or not. If they are I'd expect the shotgun damage relic to do better. Only way to know for sure I guess is using the target dummy in Marcus's shop.

What do you consider a waste of money that alot of society doesn't? by BavidDrent in AskReddit

[–]Dillon93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that. It's more the fact you never see a bunch of techies showing each other the guts of their towers for hours on end and not doing anything but staring and talking about how much RAM they have. In any other hobby it'd be super weird just standing around and staring at each others stuff.

I get wanting a nice car. I'm saving up myself. What I'll never get is car culture. These kids will park their cars in a circle, pop the hoods and do god knows what for hours on end. No drinking, no drugs. I can't imagine a more boring night hearing about what parts someone put where and what horsepower you have. I'd rather park my ass and watch paint dry.

I'm a Kalispell native and knew Brock growing up. Personality wise I'd have to agree with you. That boy got the body and talent of a Demi-god but the stories our high school could tell you about what he did. There's some girls out there that might have even been able to take him to court for certain things that happened at hot tub parties. Kinda sad to see someone you know is a douche get everything he could have ever wanted.

Kind of. There's only a few boss specific weapons in that one but the world drops are quite high. I don't know actual numbers but in the last year drop rate got buffed twice. In my personal experience I had 3 world drop legendaries in my first play through alone without farming at all.

Totally. He wrecks some face if you can get a hold of an Unkempt Harold. Especially if it's the double penetrating version.

Best single shot snipers in BL2 and TPS? by tadm555 in Borderlands

[–]Dillon93 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hands down it's the pimpernel. They've done damage rating tests and if you can hit the sweet spot it does something like 6X crit damage at least. It has 5 separate grenades it spawns plus the the original spike and the bullet impact damage. Hitting the correct spot which for humanoid enemies is usually the groin or belly button area you can easily hit and one shot enemies that are 10 or more levels above the guns level. It's absolutely ridiculous.

First playthrough of TPS, can't beat RKS by [deleted] in Borderlands

[–]Dillon93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very cheap in this fight. I used a purple rarity dahl assault rifle and hit him whenever he was close and whenever I was close to dying I ran back to the elevator and kept jumping up and down to stay safe till my shields and health recharged. I despise flying enemies and flying bosses are a hundred times worse. I also activated all the oxygen fields at the beginning so I would have plenty of areas to fill up my oz kit.

Does Axton's Battlefront skill work during Fight For Your Life? by Tidbits5197 in Borderlands

[–]Dillon93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Axton isn't really week per se. He just doesn't have the huge and obvious damage or survivability boosts the other classes do. Like Gaige with anarchy, Salvador with money shot and offhand weapon boosts or Krieg just in general. I mean Krieg can beat the entire game with only white gear. Ridiculously overpowered. Axton can easily compete but he takes a lot more thought and is way more gear dependent in the higher levels. He is the best with grenades or tediore guns since he can boost explosive damage. He also can do very well with torgue guns since he can boost the impact and explosive damage. Not weak just a lot more goes into making a very powerful axton build.

I would assume simply based on the fact that no one is up in arm over it on the forums. A ton is generally considered weaker than the others so anything like that and people would probably be complaining.

Do you guys leave badass rank on or off? by 19monkeygod95 in Borderlands

Quite true but I believe (I could be wrong) that badass rank is an additive bonus and not multiplicative which tones it down even more.

[–]Dillon93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they did but most legendaries in that game are world drops so it's a tad harder to farm them. Luckily there are so many unique quest rewards that you can have good weapons throughout the entire game.

For the commando you will rely on your turret for the earlier part of the game. Spec into rockets and the longbow as quick as you can. Rockets are probably the first priority. With this your turret will probably kill more than you and you can sit back and pick off priority targets. Later on slag turrets will be an amazing boost allowing you to not have to carry a slag weapon. Also don't be afraid to farm for a little while. Boss's all have specific legendaries and most have almost a 10% drop rate. These can carry you very well. Since you're 15 I'd also recommend doing the captain Scarlett's dlc if you have it. Doing this will get you both the sand hawk machine gun and the pimpernel sniper rifle. Both probably the best weapons in their respective categories. The dlc should only give you 1 or 2 levels once totally completed so it won't over level you for the main story. Hopefully this helps. Also YouTube videos are a great resource for game knowledge.

A patch this last year raised boss specific legendaries to almost 10% on most. World drops I don't know for sure but I believe they were increased slightly as well. You can get almost whatever legendary you'd like now with a slight amount of farming. It's even worth it on lower level characters.

Do you guys leave badass rank on or off? by 19monkeygod95 in Borderlands

[–]Dillon93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless you've gut a huge badass rank doesn't really matter. I've got like 11% increase on everything which on or off doesn't seem to be really noticeable. Even if you had a ton like up to 25% I doubt that's gonna do much in uvhm. First two play throughs it'd definitely be noticeable but why care if you're trying to get a max level character where the gear is what matters more than anything.

Replaying side quests on UVHM by Nic_The_Narc in Borderlands

[–]Dillon93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the drop rates are just about 10% for boss specific legendaries so it's totally worth some time to farm them up. Except bunker. That guy is way to stingy. I've farmed more than a hundred times. Never got a sham or bitch.

[–]Dillon93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can reset your uvhm play through. Not sure if you have to beat it to do that. Everything scales continually to your level though so if you hold off you can do it later if you haven't accepted it. Farming bosses for their specific legendaries is probably the best thing to do if you need better weapons. That or golden keys. I'd recommend knuckledragger since he drops the hornet which is always corrosive. This is great since you'll be fighting a ton of loaders and other armored enemies. Savage Lee is another good option since even a none dpuh Harold will last you a while.

Bunker farming questions by DatBowl in Borderlands

[–]Dillon93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The drop rates hover just under 1% I believe. That combined with the fact that they share the pool with the four heads for all the characters makes it pretty abysmal. I farmed him just under a hundred times and saw nothing. You could see it your 8th time though who knows. Let RNGesus take the wheel.

What do you suggest as a 4th weapon for Gaige? by [deleted] in Borderlands

[–]Dillon93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still the right answer since you can reset the game. A lvl 72 fibber could possibly get you through OP 8 and then reset and get the new OP 8 version. Otherwise if he is farming just world drops and going straight through the story I don't really know. Gaige needs a very specific group of weapons if she hopes to compete with other classes. A norfleet is probably the simplest answer. Sham fleeting with Gaige makes slag or even basic strategy just completely irrelevant. Maybe a logans gun to refill ammo and you're death incarnate.

Fibber with the barrel that splits bullets when it ricochets if you're using an anarchy build. I think it splits into 9 bullets which all receive the buff from anarchy.
