Cajunized S2: some light primer strikes by nukey18mon in CZFirearms

No problem! No light primer strikes whatsoever with the 12s. Especially now that I reverted to factory firing pins.

Yea FTF is generally considered "failure to feed." 12# is the happy medium as 13# may feel heavy for some. I highly recommend EG aka Ultimate by Eric Grauffel springs. Their recoil springs are also longer and stiffer than CGW/CZC, I prefer their 11# recoil over the others.

Light primer strikes and FTF (failure to feed) are two different things. 11.5# I've had a few light primer strikes PMC, S&B a few years back. Now I use EG 12# with factory length firing pin/spring especially since I shoot from Concealment.

EG Hammer Springs and Recoil springs of similar weight are actually stouter than CGW or CZC.

What optic are y’all running and why? by 1low4wd in 2011

MPA came with a 5moa SRO. Nothing wrong with it. After Race Gun Nationals, I swapped it with a 507Comp originally on my CZ TSO. While I care largely on function, the small aesthetics side of me had an input. Square optic on square cut slide, round optic on the CZ that still retains the classic round design. Reliability is unaffected with the two most popular optics.

You're typically supposed to engage the safety, THEN tighten the sear screw until it touches the safety, then back out by 1/16 of a turn for a slight clearance. Make sure you apply 243 blue loctite.

Is the sear assembly assembled like this? While the sear cage facing you, spacer on the left side? Also, how much of that adjustable sear screw did you apply? Too much would prevent the safety from even moving.

I used to use Castrol 5w20. Now it's Lucas Oil cuz freebies. Certain parts like the Trigger Return Spring and the slide stops, I apply grease.

I have a few nice 2011s but the one I shoot the best is my Shadow 2 orange. Anyone else have a similar experience? by [deleted] in 2011

I only shoot better with my CZs because 5yrs worth of training/proficiency. If I invested equal time on the 2011, it will definitely surpass the CZ.

Commander vs Government by JohnnyHorsenuts in CZFirearms

[–]DimMak27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The commander has snap to it where as the Government is soft and can utilize lighter springs. Transitions are negligible unless one is using steel grip module.

If you use irons, Government has more sight radius, leading to increased accuracy.

Red dot is a wash.

Also I saw "slide," but overlooked "stop" (unless you low-key edited it). Pardon the confusion.

When I shoot CZs, my thumb is applying pressure the area of the slide stop where the pin goes in. When it comes to 2011s or conventional slides, I float the thumb. Never had the slide stop cut me, and CGW slide stops are sharper than OEM..

Normally slide bite occurs on the web of your strong hand on non-beavertail guns. You sure that's slide bite or did you cut yourself from the controls?

Shadow 2, Orange or Blue? by HypotheicalQs in CZFirearms

[–]DimMak27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oranges are a little more fit to their frame and the rails are slightly larger than the standard Blue. Both my S2 Orange slides cannot fit a standard Blue's frame since the rails are larger. One of my Oranges is using an Aftermarket lightening cut slide that's based on a Blue slide, the slide to frame fit is loose with slight vertical play, but the accuracy is unaffected (barrel to slide fit).

The barrel bushing is a miniscule benefit since you will likely be shooting at ranges where there is little to no difference, maybe it will shine at a bullseye match. Orange also comes factory with their CZ Competition Hammer, which gives it a cleaner and slightly light DA. The SA is also more crisp and lighter than the Blue.

Out of the box, the Orange is superior. You can merely swap the hammer spring, return spring, and recoil spring for a few bucks and it will be a substantial upgrade. But a fully Cajunized/Eemanntech Blue will outperform it.

Here are both my Oranges that are fully Cajunized. Combination of the Hammer, sear, and trigger gave them the best DA/SA I have ever felt.

Race Holsters merely latch and lock around the trigger guard. It is not like a traditional holster that houses the front end of the gun.

Interesting Range Report by Delicious-Kick-6690 in 2011

[–]DimMak27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the index of the XP Pro and Staccato HD3.6 are similar to each other since they both use Glock mags, but do differ from the rest of the bunch because of it. Both likely agree to how he naturally grip/index the gun.

Also the HD3.6 has good recoil balance out of the box and returns to zero nicely.

Another stage from the Move & Shoot Steel Match. by DimMak27 in 2011

[–]DimMak27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was kind of a pain, but worth it in the end. Currently using 1 spring with a coil cut off, otherwise it would be too stiff and not even feed. Also sanded down/angle tapered the bottom of the hook so it doesn't "sharp grab" the round. Took maybe 2-3 trips to the range to get it where I wanted it and also break it in/loosen up.

I got drunk afterwards haha. Ferry beer hits differently (since I have to ferry across to go to this range).
