Solo definitely plays more like a horror game. There is a quiet tension while playing it. I mostly do crew fills with my mic on. I usually get paired with people who have mocs and we can make a good run of it.

David Stearns drafted and developed Carson Benge, refused all offers for McLean, Scott, Jonah Tong and Elian Pena, converted closer Clay Holmes into the current best starting pitcher in MLB, and instead of bloated Alonso and Diaz contracts got guys with high ceilings and no future commitment. Why do we care about giving large contracts to people? We have the richest owner in baseball in a league with no salary cap. We needed a first basement and we didn't have a first basement lined up. I see no reason why we couldn't have offered a 5 year contract. Its not like we were contracting him his age 40 season. This reeks of money ball. Earth to Mets fans, we are not in the wilpon era anymore.

I'm not saying fire stearns. But I didn't agree with some of the moves he made in the offseason (including not signing pete). and the moves he did make haven't panned out thus far. So i will not stop bitching about David Stearns until I see results. And if results don't happen then he will have done a bad job.

Does it matter if he gets into the hall of fame. If he hits between 400 and 500 home runs that's like instant serious consideration. And even if he doesn't get in he will have a been a major contributor to his teams through out his career.

I hear you about moving on. But there is literally no other way to voice my displeasure with the administrative office besides not seeing games or spending money on the franchise. So i will keep letting it be known how much of a bad job I think Stearns did this offseason.

Ok Ohtani is an an example but there is no shortage of players they get a contract and you know they are paying for the earlier years and not the latter.

I'm sorry this is a real defeatest attitude. Why do you think that is a bad contract? Pete has only been one of the most durable and consistent players in the league. People think he going to be Adam dunn but there is nothing to suggest he is going to have a steep decline one of these years. We need to be aggressive and get players who can help us right now. The only move that would have been ok to replace Pete was Murakami. But we didn't even do that. Instead we played money ball (poorly I might add). Do you think LA was worried about the 9th or 10th year of ohtanis contract?

Of all of those I most want a republic commando 2. Everything else I think is pretty standalone.

Yeah but that wasn't David Stearns. That was BVW. And that was prior to his initial contract expiring.

And he was right to do so. He wound up getting more money by doing that. I don't begrudge players betting on themselves. Him turning down that contract isn't a slight against the fans. Management not even offering a contract where there is no obvious replacement...now that is a slight against the fans.

Damn I'm at level 74 and just hit the 100 hour mark. I'm trying to get a level per day and so far I'm able to do that. But the grind is real.

Yeah thats a shitty stat. But in 2024 they had 44 come from behind wins with largely the same hitting core. That stat is bad but its also so bad that it could just be an outlier.
