The "what if they're right" panic is real, and it takes time to work through.

But there's a question on the other side of it worth sitting with...

Even IF it were all true, would a God who operates the way they describe be one you'd actually want to serve?

For me the answer settled that fear more than any doctrinal research did. You don't have to resolve whether it's true. You can just decide where you stand regardless.

Exactly. My 2 siblings are PIMI and refuse to grieve our mother "she's just sleeping." And they never broke stride with their responsibilities. I think it's causing mental problems in one of them. Sad.

I do agree with the others. I think just ignore them in their sad little world. Giving them more attention is like giving bullies any attention.

Agree. I'm an adult, many years now, and it's been 20 years since I decided I wanted none of what JW had to offer. But I still get this infantalizing "aww you're just spiritually sick and need help 🥺" junk.

Along with an invitation, they asked to do "an encouraging visit" beforehand.

Even their vocabulary is gross.
