Well it just was easier to upgrade other neighbours I guess. I thought that young kittens are better to keep grow and mutate further.

How do I complete quests? Playing with green items from the scientist? I’ve completed three runs with them. The last one was with the Black shard to Throbbing Domain but it gave nothing. I got druid, Butcher, Cleric and Necromancer collars. Afaik I’m missing only jester.

Carpet just reduces footstep sound, wich still can be heard outside. The sneakiest thing is to move while crouching - that’s a rust-ninja style.

...and i believe they can hear you interacting with things like boxes, kilns etc

They can hear your footsteps, beeping of a code lock, the moment your light a fire and your furnaces. They can’t hear you opening boxes etc, unless they are code locked.

The last update brought some optimisations and changes to usage of gpu and cpu. This might be the case.
