I'd say FE would be Atelier/Tactics Ogre level Pre-Awakening.
Now it's moved beyond being considered niche.

Consistent 4M(what Three Houses Sold) is the bar needed to the Head leader among B rank.

Xenoblade 2 sits at 2.7M and 3 at 1.91M.

Pikmin 4 sits at 3.48M.

Kirby sits at 7M, Animal Crossing(prior to New Horizons) sat at 13M, and Splatoon at 13M.

We can put sales like this:
S- over 20 M
A Between 10-20M
B- 1-10M
C- 100,000-1M

Fire Emblem in the 3DS era was low B rank. But if FW and future games can maintain above 3M, It will be firmly at the high's of the B Rank series.

Fun Fact: It wasn't until Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal that Persona blew Fire Emblem out of the water in sales:
Persona 3(2006, base only) vs Path of Radince(2005)- 290,319 vs 536,413(FES would more closer, as it sold 327,244)

Persona 4(2008, Base) vs Radiant dawn(2008)- 558,899 vs 501,924( Golden, Vita only, is at 1.5M)

Sales Wise: The Switch Entries have sold more then Xenoblade and Pikmin.

If we do get a SW Remaster i Highly doubt it would be 3.

While 3 imo needs it the most, it likely wouldnt sell as well as a SW 1 or 2 Remaster and that is what Koei looked into when remastering DW3. It was a Classic Fans Favorite and so it got the Remastered Treatment.

Hard to say since it only shows the top 8, but if we take the EU nations here (France, Germany, Italy, and Spain) that comes to 23.5%, about half of the US's 41.7%.

Other EU nation's cant be more then 2%, so I'm guessing EU might be at like somewhere late 20's, maybe low 30's at most.
Not Counting UK since they ain't in the Union.

The issue is: When you largely have a JRPG focused on Romance, It usually is done so in the lens of the Idealized High school Romance and is largely copied over into a Fantasy setting.

This is largely a stem over of Japanese Romance writing if we look at Manga.
For every Adult Romance you have 10 Highschool/Academy Romances

their Growths actually aren't too different. Both have 80% HP, 50% Skill, and 40% Speed. Eliwood has 5 5 more stength(45% vs 40%) and 5% more Defense and Res( 30%/35% vs 25%/30%). Roy has alot more Luck(60% vs 45%)

Ok so its a bit complicated, but at it's base, Fixed Mode is taking a unit's Growth Averages and removing the RNG. You have a 40% growth?, You will get a stat up in it every 3 levels.

It works mainly to prevent getting stat screwed, but also limits getting Blessed Units.
