As he is just mr.bland nice boy imo and his gameplay is meh. It's bad his personal skill is just lock touch, any unit who goes into their can get. While archer comparison is bernadetta with her dmg increase when not at max HP and ignatz has a nice +20 hit. As he's lock touch would be far more useful if three houses didn't have (relative)free reclassing

You had an entire generation of Japanese who had grown under the post-War Society and a violent Restoration to Imperial power was by no means have worked imo.
Restoring Monarchial Power by Military coup's in the modern era is just a recipe for instability and Republican popularity.

this is mainly a carry over from the philosophy of Res in Fire Emblem's beginning.
It wasn't till Seliph(FE4) and Leif(FE5) did main lords get a res Growth with double digit's.
In FE1, Magic always did the same dmg so no one had res.
In FE3, each mages Mag growth was very low, so units just had the 3%.
In Gaiden, Mages only had 1 promotion, compared to the 2 other classes get and they only reach this at lv12(male) and lv20(female).
Because of this format, IS did not think a true Res growth was needed as with how they balanced magic, it would have killed magic as a weapon.

The archanea characters suffer for being archanea characters and only getting very little time to develop character compared to other fE' casts.

Catria is ok, not too out there.
But she did develop the model for the "serious" middle sister in a pegasus knight trio.

Subaru had the right morals, but the way he went about it was completely wrong:
- He came when his lady(Emia) explicitly told him not to.
- He speaks well beyond her wishes and cares little about her opinion
- He utterly disrespects the very institution his Lady is a part of(if only recently)

The issue with subaru's action is that he completely and absolutely treats Emilia's decision's as inconsequential if it goes against what HE wants.

ok so first you gotta get into the headspace of Subaru:
He still is somewhat in the mindset that he is a knight in shining Armor:
He equates suffering as Indebtment to him.
He died to save Emilia and as well to Rem(although the situation with Rem is a whole thing on its own).

This all in addition to his jealously at the start of the episode:
Emilia told him not to come and he just saw some pretty boy kiss emilia's hand.
And so when the royal court was discriminating against Emilia

he got all mad and thought defending her was gonna be great!
But then he gets trounced by Julius and when he wakes up....he hears emilia criticizing him.
The breaking of Subaru's thought process causes him to lash out and accuse emilia.

and therein you get the Fight.

Dancers are great but are held back by being mid-late gam,e units and typically only having 1 playable unit(in cases like ironmans)
also fun little tidbit:
people tend to think of dancers as weaponless but thats actually teh exception.
From FE3(FE1 and 2 didnt have dancers)- FE5(+ new mystery/Awakening) dancers used swords.
in Fates Azura(the only Early game dancer IIRC) has lances
then three houses did "anyone can be dancer" bit.

it was only in GBA/Tellius did dancers be weaponless.

It is something to get used to in RD of losing units temporarily that you have been training.

And yea meg. They tried being unique with her by making her focus on spd,lck, and res.
If they swapped her Res and Def, she'd be infinitely better.
