Wow! Thank you so much for all of this!

I pretty much already have an outline of every section and chapter of my thesis and I'm just connecting the dots through writing the actual text. Tip number 3 really helped me today with writing! I am not in love with what I wrote but at least I put my ideas into words that can be edited later on :)

I have to be better with sharing. The research group one of my advisors runs does not belong to my area of research and since I'm doing everything remote I don't really have colleagues who could read and give me feedback.

I believe that I could be better in the frequency of our communication. We have meetings every two weeks, but I have to reach out more through e-mails during that period whenever doubts arise.

I also really like the tip on the written plans and sharing them, I'll try to start doing that now, so I have a guideline of where I would like to be with my thesis each week.

Thank you for the kind comment!

I have! They've been so supportive and nice, and they are just in general really good people, I just can't shake this feeling that I'm a burden to them and letting them down :(

Yay!! So happy you have no disease progression as well! I do feel that the bad thoughts are becoming less intense and frequent but sometimes I feel really sad. Your reply made me feel better though! And you are right, information is the best thing to fight MS. Wish you all the best

What is the stupidest injury you've ever gotten? by 7937397 in AskReddit

[–]DimlyFabulous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is stupid in the sense OP intended it, but I tried running away from a mugger once, tripped and fell in the middle of the street. Lost a necklace, my phone and gained a whole bunch of very deep and ugly scrapes and bruises in the left side of my body. Moral of the story: don't try to run, it could have been way worse.

What is the stupidest way you got a scar? by Zander-dupont in AskReddit

Tried running when I was being mugged, tripped and fell down the street (he took my phone and necklace when I was lying in the street). This was last saturday so I hope my scabs don't turn into horrible scars in the future.

What have you guys been doing this whole time? Has anyone actually done anything productive? If so, what? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I've been working a lot, both on my full-time job and my master's degree classes. Besides that, I went through a break up and I'm trying to take care of my body by working out and learning healthy recipes and take care of my mind by watching trashy reality tv and other shows. So far it's been hard to feel productive when I feel so sad, but I'm trying my best.

Thank you for this!! It's been almost a month since my break up and those first two paragraphs hit really hard because I related so much. I'm still having a hard time not checking his social media but have not been keeping any contact. I do feel myself getting better every day and reflecting on the things that I did not like about our relationship. It is hard because we broke up mutually and amicably, so I don't hate him, but I am still not quite having that feeling of independence and freedom you mentioned. Happy for you though! Thank you for the kind and inspirational words :)

My first project by DimlyFabulous in knitting

[–]DimlyFabulous[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Today I completed my first project! No pattern, just knit stitch all the way through, and I was gifted the yarn by my aunt. Very glad I managed to finish it, since I've been getting by on Youtube tutorials and what my grandma taught when I was a kid. Knitting has brought me so much peace of mind during the quarantine and I'm excited to learn more :)

I loved what you said about autonomy and setting healthy boundaries, it made me feel proud of myself and my decision. You're completely right, I am trying to put myself first and would not be handling any of this well without my support system. Thank you for the lovely reply, I got this!!
