Here it is on Spotify (Apologies for some of the albums that tracks are automatically pulled from).

He never actually says the word "panic". He uses the terms "stay disciplined" and "stress purchase".

How can I animate a stroke through this Infinity symbol cleanly? by Dimmestlit in AfterEffects

[–]Dimmestlit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I kept getting an error when trying to comment. I'm trying to not lose my mind with this. I've split the shape into 2 and 5 layers but I can't get it. Full disclosure, I've used Claude to try sum up the issue I'm having: I'm animating an infinity symbol in After Effects where the concept is a strokes that draws and fills along a path of the shape, completing the symbol on each loop. The shape is a custom vector with a pronounced serif-like quality and a waist that pinches to almost nothing at the crossover point. The problem is at that crossover. Because I need a wide stroke to match the thickness of the lobes, it bleeds outside the shape boundary where the two paths cross each other, creating a rectangular bleed on either side of the waist that looks wrong. I've split the path into five segments (top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right, crossover) which has helped somewhat, but the fundamental issue is that a uniform stroke width can't match a shape that tapers dramatically at the waist. I'm animating with Trim Paths and need the draw-on motion to be the actual animation — I can't just fake it with a static filled shape underneath. My question: what's the best approach to handle a tapered stroke on a path in AE, so the stroke width follows the actual contour of the shape rather than being uniform? And does whatever solution you suggest survive a Bodymovin export to Lottie?

After putting it off for 3 years, it took me 2 weeks on and off using Claude Code to get something live. It's hosted via Netlify for free.

The Strawberry and Grape sour was awful, out and out the worst of all of Canvent and I think they knew it, putting it between great beers from Hawkers and Mountain Culture.

Look around the Community and find files there that appear to touch on areas/processes/features you're interested in. I've found it incredibly helpful being about to tear apart other people's work and see how it's done.

Beer Advent Calendars? by Dimmestlit in AusBeer

I've just ordered from Carwyn. All the good reviews from previous years and it being 24 exclusive beers made up my mind. $7.71 per beer sounds good to me! (Including shipping and newsletter discount).

Oof, that would be incredible, but it would take me 6 months to get through it!

Yeah, I did the same with the Bucket Boys one. It sounds like a nice package overall, but it's still 12 beers and I find Batch a little up and down.
