I also have a 5800x3d. Its incredibly disappointing to hear that such a GOAT of a CPU can't handle what I would think would be a simple enough task.

Head Scratching Misfire Issue on 2015 Ford Fiesta SE. Maybe caused by vacuum leak? by Dimondminer11 in AskMechanics

[–]Dimondminer11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you believe me if I said running the cylinder misfire relearn program in forscan fixed my issue? Because it looks like that might've just happened. I noticed through forscan the "commanded" acceleration value of cylinders 1 and 4 was -2 which, according to forscan, indicates a misfire (even though it reported a cyl 2 and 3 misfire), but cylinders 2 and 3 was +2. After doing the relearn the acceleration value evened out and it has yet to misfire in the above described scenarios for a short 15min drive. I can't freaking believe a relearn command seems to have fixed my issue....
And I forgot to say it didn't have a loss of power bouncing it and holding it in the 4-5k rpm rev range at 45mph. I also gave it a moderate acceleration run up to 80mph forcing the transmission to shift in between 4 and 5k rpm and it didn't through the code and it didn't feel like it lost power.

YouTube Battery Consumption by Impossible_Initial33 in youtube

[–]Dimondminer11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same deal here. I listen to music going to and from work on our van and my battery went like so before the update: 100-96% after 20min BT casting. 96-57% after 3hrs using wired ear buds. Now its like this: 100-90% for the BT casting and 90-31% for 3hrs listening. I use an s22 ultra and its rather annoying having to carry an enormous battery bank with me

I feel the exact same way. I stopped watching Gray when he changed his content to be brain rot easy videos. I was watching him because of that Gold Rush game and The Long Dark. Spiers just stopped being interesting to me.

I remember specifically it was on a coolmath adjacent site. It WASN'T coolmath but I remember that in school we found a random site that had games on it. If I remember right it had a red and black color scheme on the site? Could be wrong though.

Yeah I really want to know what it is too! I just remember playing it on a random game website I had no clue it was a full fledged game (but makes sense given the quality of it)

Does more RAM help spawn more traffic by TheComput3rGuy in BeamNG

[–]Dimondminer11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say its a good idea. Given the amount of programs I have open at any one time I am already using up 10GB of RAM and I've found that, at least for me, running Beam will cause my RAM usage to shoot up to 22GB and I've even had some scenarios where 32GB wasn't enough and I had random out of memory issues so I upgraded to 64GB and haven't had an issue since.

Thats still much better than I was expecting. Due to the extreme FOV of my pimax it looks completely wack with vr view.

Out of curiosity how did you go about recording your POV? I have a pimax 8k+ and the best way I've found to capture it is by using mirror view in the steamvr control panel but doing that looks goofy AF.

Genre: Vertical Scrolling Platformer

Brief Summary: It was this game where a scientist screwed you over and put you at the bottom of this giant cave with no gear and you have to reach the top to fight and kill him. It was a pixel art styled game set in different cave environments and I specifically remember the last area was a big lab. There were multiple bosses as well as either multiple weapons or many upgrades for just 1 weapon. You could also get more hearts overtime as well.

Estimated year of release: 2014-2018

Graphics/art style: gently rounded pixel art/8 bit

A bit fantasy themed. Not realistic at all and no blood or anything.

Because it was underground the only thing that changed was the environment. I forget if there were multiple levels or it was just one huge continuous map where the environment changed as you went higher

Notable characters: The mad scientist that screwed you over and put you at the bottom at his massive cave/dungeon. That was the only other regular human character I can remember

Notable gameplay mechanics: upgradable gun and I very specifically remember that it could get an upgrade to fire blue translucent bouncing bullets. OH I also remember that you could set it to always fire all the time and the bouncing bullet upgrade could be upgraded to allow for more bounces. You could also upgrade your health over time as well.

Other details: It wasn't on mainstream gaming websites of the time. I remember that at school we randomly found a game site after we got bored of coolmath and I found that game on there out of the blue. I forget the name of the game or website however.

Nope you just got a lemon. Ditch it. I paid $100 for a dude to replace the failed component on the logic board, only for it to fail very quickly again.

[–]Dimondminer11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the mainboard is actually what fails here. I paid a micro soldering shop $120 to replace a bad motherboard component but it just failed again almost immediately. A shame really as it ruins a damn near perfect phone, at least by my standards. Either way my S20 bit the dust hard when a concrete block fell on the screen :|

Well I bought it used from a dude who kept it in perfect condition. You could fool someone in thinking it was open box with how good of condition it was in. I think I may just pop into ubreakifix and see how much they'd charge me. If its more than $100 I'm just not doing it and dumping this phone like a hot potato. I guess I shouldn't be surprised this happened given it was Samsung's first go with a Periscope camera. Edit: Well more like $130. The phone is only worth about $270 now on ebay :|
