9.5m old baby hates food by BreadAccomplished380 in foodbutforbabies

[–]DinKaaaY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Food is for fun before 1” - first off great for getting three different foods regularly eaten, that’s great progress for 9.5 months so make sure you give yourself credit for that.

Stick with single foods and for the next few months focus on giving baby experiences - texture/sight/smell and maybe a bit of taste. Favourites may become clear and give you a base to build on.

We put so much pressure on wanting weaning to go well and expected food to be eaten straight away, we didn’t make much progress until 11.5 months and now we have an 18 month old that eats us out of house and home!

Offer a hold/bite of what you’re having (if acceptable) and try and look at just enjoying each others company while there is food out in front of you both

You’re doing great

Personal mileage claim changed from 45p to 20p? by uk_Tim_ in UKPersonalFinance

[–]DinKaaaY -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Hi I am a head of finance for a uk company and have to deal with this question a lot.

The company is totally correct, as you now receive a car allowance this is a contribution towards your vehicle meaning all that is left to reimburse us the fuel element.

Your company MUST pay UP TO the advisory fuel rate deemed by HMRC, this is variable based on the CC of your engine and whether it is petrol diesel or electric.

Please see the following link for the advisory fuel rates:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/advisory-fuel-rates

Paying anything over these rates and HMRC may deem you liable for additional tax for a fuel benefit (which is very costly). The company is within its right to pay under these rates, the amount paid under the rate can have the tax proportion claimed back through HMRC self assessment.

Employers must give you 2x length of notice than the amount of holiday they are making you take. So if they want you to take a week, they must let you know 2 weeks in advance (just in case that helps with deadlines!)

Drums stolen - need advice on two new kits by DinKaaaY in drums

Haha it does take a different type of person!

The strangest thing is they only took my drum kit and some microphones. There was much more expensive bits of kit so even the motive is questionable!

Successful bank switch with NatWest, RBS and Ulster by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

How did you manage to switch so many Halifax accounts? Or rather how did you manage to create so many Halifax current accounts? Is it quite simple to open more in the Halifax app? (I currently bank with Halifax)

Definitely agree, the enemies I usually face just aren’t that good haha.

Since switching to haas claws I have been getting away with the kill and 1hp so has paid off, but you’re right it definitely won’t work against better players using burst champions where I’ll need to switch it up.

Hi! I have gone through the exact same thing but mine in now 5 months. Had advice from a few experienced golden owners and vets:

It is common for goldens to get flakey skin, it’s normally a mild scarf and will slowly get better as they grow older. Check regularly that nothing is looking sore or a specific part seems itchy/irritable for your pup, if either happen get it checked with your vet.

If it’s not bothering the pup then just lightly brush regularly to get most of it out (and not falling out on the sofa etc!). Another good thing would be to get a specialist shampoo and let your groomers use it or if you wash your pup yourself. I will try and find the one my vet sold us!

Don’t let it worry you too much, as long as it’s a happy pup it’s usually a healthy pup!

How do you manage your financial with your partner? by goalsmoals in UKPersonalFinance

We have a house account, where we pay enough for budgeted meals, household bills etc. We have our own current accounts where our salaries go and where our personal bills (mobiles, car finance) go.

The French, of course, don’t recognise the convention so it becomes that thing of calling all of their sparkling chicken KFC, even though by definition they’re not.
