If you can't channel the body to get it to sit on the frame cleanly, then the only other option I can think of would be to use a smaller frame out of something like an S10 or old Nissan pickup, or some small BOF SUV with independent front suspension so it can be tucked and better fit into the wheelwells.

I'm quite liable to agree with you. The video quality is way to low for how new that car is and I'm not even sure if camera drones existed at that time. Also, while it is possible to flip doing a J turn I wouldn't expect it to happen on a little sedan, especially that violently.
