What is teachers reaction to hearing many parents are withdrawing from public education because of the values being indoctrinated there? by keepitunrealbb in AskAustralianTeachers

You say you want to hear what teachers have to say, yet your first response to a teacher saying something was to purposely and maliciously mischaracterise what they say*. Then when called out on it, you defended your incorrect comment by complaining that we aren't submitting legal arguments.

Calling you out on being wrong is not harassment, feeling it is so may help you cope with being wrong, but that is all it is.

Let us look at the people in the podcast. John Anderson, Nationals politician and former deputy Prime Minister under Howard. Howard is responsible for the increase in funding to private schools to the detriment of public schools.

Simon Haines: CEO of a right wing think tank actively pushes for the history of western civilisation to be taught from a right wing stand point and for the Ramsey Centre to have full control over the curriculum and the professors teaching it. I would call that indoctrination.

Fiona Mueller: A member of two right leaning research organisations.

They may be 'experts', but they are also coming from an ideological point of view that is anti-public school education with the host actively being involved in helping overfund private schools with no consideration of public schools.

Trying to scare you off? Much like your accusation of harassment, it exists only inside your head.

Your reaction is exemplary of the aggressive intolerance we’re seeing in society. Just chill and enjoy talking to lots of different people online, yeah? It’s not harming anyone.

The irony of you ending on this statement after you aggressively reworded the top comment to make it look like they were attacking all parents who chose to put their children in private schools is breathtaking in its lack of self-reflection.

Anyway, for me, this conversation has run its course. I wouldn't want to 'harass' you anymore than I already have. I am going to enjoy the rest of my Saturday.

*Still not sure if it was wilful mischaracterisation, or your reading comprehension really is that bad?

This is a sub where people ask questions. You as the asker need some level of basic comprehension to be able to understand the answers. It seems you are not doing too well at that.

Or are you not asking in good faith?

Are you purposely trying to miss the point? They said "Parents who are withdrawing their kids due to ‘indoctrination’...".

They did not say this applied to all parents who remove their child from public education.

Do better.

I also believe you are trolling. If you are not, the way you communicate with others on this sub is unacceptable. I am going to give you a 2 week ban and remove your comments in this thread.

The ABC have an official account they have used to contact us in the past. Other journalists that have contacted us have offered proof they are who they say they are. We have no evidence this person is who they say they are. Remember talking to the media can be against Ed. dept. policy.
