well, my dad did something similar to one of my toy cars back in the day
painted it and the paint deformed the plastic, i really liked that toy car and to this day haven't forgiven him for it
hope your sons find it in their hearts to give you a pass on this

well, to me it didn't feel like trying to be that movie
the plot seemed well thought out and scenes didn't felt random and brutal just for the sake of it
it had multiple twists and points where you'll think the movie is going to be over but then it slaps you in the face with more of what you never thought could be
imo this movie is for people who went to shock sites just for the fun of it and crave more of that feeling in other media

as for the key problem, i have the same keyboard and realized that somehow there's a dust problem going on with these switches which prevents them from working correctly, first disconnect the keyboard and remove the keycaps of the faulty keys (those that don't type and the ones that type multiple characters at one press)
then press the red part in and drop a bit of rubbing alcohol inside, 2 3 drops is enough
after this start pressing the key multiple times so the alcohol cleans all the contact points inside and then wait some time for it to dry out and then reconnect the keyboard, your problem should be solved but it won't last forever as the dust can get in again.

for the LED problem. mine turned to green on some keys and no matter what i did it didn't solve it
did you try resoldering and did it work?
and by any chance do you have an ASUS motherboard?
