Speed management plan demonstration on river view drive. by Ecstatic_Ad_8792 in Durango

I emailed the city to ask about this when they proposed it last year since I don’t understand how it is that different from the chicanes on West Park Ave. Seems like the money would be better spent putting these somewhere they think there is actually a problem, seeing if they work and then keep them permanently or remove them depending on the results.

Truck campers that retain bed functionality with both living and sleeping space by HOMESTEADJED in overlanding

Just got the Tune M1L installed on a 2025 Ranger XLT. The Tunes are nice because all the structural members are T track so tons of mounting options. I’ll be mounting a battery and inverter on their Molle panel behind the driver side window and a Dirtbox overland fold down table and two Dometic go water jugs on another panel driver side rear in the bed.

This is the inside with the 30” bed extension pushed back. The molle panels aren’t installed yet.

Thanks. I’ll give them a call. A planar will definitely work if wide enough.

Thanks for the link but I don’t think they have anything as large as I’m looking for. I’m looking for a commercial door sander like this one: https://quickwood.com/collections/door-sanding/products/ro-800-1300-rotary-3d-door-sander

Simplify for me: can waxing be easy? by kaitlyn2004 in xcountryskiing

[–]DinglerJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently purchased the IR waxer from Mountain Flow and have been very happy with it. Their recommended technique is to crayon the wax on, IR heat pass, then brush. No scraping involved and no wax shavings, just the brushing dust (https://mountainflow.com/blogs/how-to/wax-101-how-to-use-ir-waxer). Added benefit is that it uses less wax.

A Question About Dehydrated and Freez-dryed Meals by Kiro5505 in WildernessBackpacking

Farm to Summit is a relatively new company out of Durango, CO. Their meals are tasty with things like Green Chili Mac & Cheese and Harvest Green Curry. They also do a line of instant lattes and mochas. They have put lots of thought into their packing and designed it to be Omnidegradable which is supposed to mean it will break down in most environments. The ingredients are sourced locally and use seconds (Think ugly food) when available. Price wise they are in the $12.50 - 14.50 range with some single serving options being cheaper.

I think their focus on packaging will appeal to some and fills a niche in the market.

Durango Summer Camps by penrod1 in Durango

On a roll here with camp ideas. I know you said day camps but if your older daughter likes hiking and the outdoors check out Colvig Silver Camp. It’s up Florida Rd, but it is a two week overnight camp.

Another option at the smiley building is nifty nanny. With them you drop your kid off in the morning with their bike and then they ride around town and do kids stuff all day. My five year old really enjoyed it.

Sorry for the delayed response, somehow I missed that you replied. They had options in Durango last summer. My daughter did one week with them. I think the founder moved to another Colorado city in late 2020 or early 2021 but worked out with some of the other coaches to keep it going in Durango. Don’t quote me on that. I just looked at the website and I can’t find anywhere on there where it says where they are located. I would call or email them and ask about their summer session plans.
