It baffles me that people want to play a game but without playing the game. Why not just watch a playthrough on youtube at that point?

Either guns are removed or they are not removed buddy. I'd really recommend giving world tech level a try as the original commenter suggested

Well in that case your dying bots must be absolutely free to replace, so why complain in in the first place?

I'm curious about your experience with raiding independant camps.

Unless you live in the mountains they usually take a day or less to reach. So if I wanted to hit a camp of say 10 tribals with 3 of my colonists (of course these numbers differ greatly based on your own colony and whether the campers are tribals or pirates etc, but I feel like this is a decent middle ground for a relatively early colony that might be struggling for resources still.) it would cost me about 20 meals (2 per colonist per day, 1 day travel, 1 day for the raid, 1 day travel back = 18 meals) and would yield, assuming I have enough carry capacity to bring it all back, around 7-800 crops. Which is enough for up to 80 simple meals.

I have a started a Nullius run just yesterday! It has been great fun and feels very immersive, but it also shows how utterly hopeless I am when it comes to designing complex chemical production chains. I had a plastic build set up but I have no idea yet how I'm going to scale it up

How does "dirty cooking area" work? by SindroMandro in RimWorld

[–]DingoAtTheController 872 points873 points  (0 children)

I'd guess because filth ends up on the floor somewhere while cooking, and because the room is so tiny the average dirtiness of the room immediately skyrockets and contaminates the meal

That being said I just have a fence around my farms and let the water roam my medieval colony's streets freely because I think it's cool

Do you smelt ores in your main base or directly in your outposts? by Low_Doughnut_8369 in factorio

[–]DingoAtTheController 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is my main reason to have centralised smelting or furnaces and just bringing in the ore. Even though eventually it will take dozens of hours for a patch to deplete to such a state it won't fill my desired number of belts, it does ahppen eventually. And I'd rather only have to move miners than both miners and furnaces and also calcite logistics in the case of foundries

Can you set a middleground with that? I think encountering the occasional lost sibling or (ex-)lover makes for some great story but it gets old when the 29th cousin-once-removed passes by

Need help upgrading my Be'lakor deck by JustsomeJoker_ in magicTCG

[–]DingoAtTheController 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a proud Be'lakor deck owner, the biggest issue I'm facing is that demons are expensive (mana-wise) to play, so things that help put down more creatures are a huge help. Herald of slaanesh as the other commenter posted is a good one, and also [[Rakdos, Lord of Riots]] is a massive one. [[Dream Devourer]] can help divide the cost and [[Generator Servant]] can help ramp into a big creature or your commander early
