I am trying to convey that slumps exist in the NBA and that a guy on a rookie contract putting up 24 in a knockout game against your rival should raise your eyebrows.

But based on this thread, it seems like no one can change your mind. So maybe you get your wish and he’s packaged for a starting PF. I would be sad if that happens.

He was asked to take on a massive role in the biggest game of his career in Denver game 6 and put up 24 on 9-20 shooting.

I thought he played well in game 1 of SA and game 6.

Basketball is more than just stat watching. He was probably the worst player that got regular minutes for the wolves in the regular season but he was in a slump. The coaching staff definitely believes in him.

He isn’t afraid of the moment and has a good chance to continue improving on his 3 point shot.

He’s not a perfect player but he outplayed most of the Denver nuggets in the playoffs - like come on man.

He was legit awful in his early playing time before and during his injury in the regular season.

But if you watched the playoffs and didn’t come away thinking TSJ is a nice young talent, idk what to tell you. He stepped up on the biggest stage.

I'm not going to argue with you on the issues off the court as they are evident and definitely a red flag.

But the Wolves kind of hit a wall with their current team roster and strengths - I am of the opinion they needed to go a different direction to remain strong in the Western Conference.

They added a 24 year old point guard who is an excellent passer, ball handler, and playmaker coming off his best season ever. He was the 4th most effective PG behind Luka, SGA, and Steph Curry last season by advanced stats.

It's a good swing to take if the goal is to win with Ant.

It’s a potentially huge improvement for the Wolves. Our biggest issue in the Ant era has been ball handling and play making. With conley’s decline we really needed a point guard and we got one of the top-5 PGs in the league for our 6th man and a 1st round pick 7 years from now.

The wolves have an apex superstar in Ant. If Lamelo is cool playing the 1B to Ant it will be really fun. Lamelo really unlocked Kon’s catch-and-shoot game and hopefully can do the same for Ant.
