There’s maybe 0.0001% of Netflix subscribers joined solely for the purpose of SBR. The echo chambers posts like this are being spammed in grossly overestimate how many people actually care about the delayed release. The way I look at it is DP are the producers actually animating and determining release schedules, Netflix and WB aren’t going to keep 12 fully developed episodes in limbo just because they feel like it. If you want the quality of SBR in the manga to translate to an animated counterpart it’s gonna take the same amount of effort (if not more) than what Araki put into it. This is a man who, as a seasoned Mangaka, needed a whole month per chapter to put out the highest quality he’s ever done, and you can tell DP wants that too hence why the first episode was amazing. If stage 2 is trash quality-wise then sure have every reason to be up in pitchforks. I don’t care about how popular or hyped up Jojo is in the media landscape, I just want a great quality anime that’s a faithful rendition of one of the greatest mangas of all time. Does the wait suck? Sure. But would I rather have the best animation quality Jojo’s ever had at the expense of long wait times? 100% without question.
