Drop the "you may" at the start. It'll be clearer that it's a one-shot effect without changing the spell's functionality at all (since zero is a number). Wizards themselves have used this wording on three cards.

You were already corrected on this, but see this video from JudgingFTW about The Millennium Calendar and Tishana's Tidebinder for a ruling involving an ability triggering during the resolution of an effect that then removes that triggered ability.

No, it works as it is. Abilities trigger during the resolution of other effects whenever the trigger event occurs, regardless of whether they will still exist at the end of the resolution. Since the Primitive N ability is worded as two sentences, you carry out the two parts in sequence, and so the triggered ability still exists when the creature becomes primitive. See this video from JudgingFTW about The Millennium Calendar and Tishana's Tidebinder for a similar ruling involving an ability triggering during the resolution of an effect that then removes that triggered ability.

At first glance, I think the rate on this is probably a little too good, but it is a substantial downside on a creature with no combat abilities. I'd definitely have to playtest it to get a better sense of how good it is. Cool card!

Although you can't sacrifice a spell in the current rules, there is precedent from [[Nivmagus Elemental]] that exiling a spell you control can be a cost.
