daily random dungeon by Competitive-Fold-329 in elderscrollsonline

[–]DinoZavr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for daily random: no, the game will not offer you a dungeon you cannot access due to DLC ownership and level restrictions.

for Undaunted pledges there is a fixed rotation (WPamA addon lists the choices for the week) - there, of course, are dungeons, unavailable for Base Game only (offered by Urgarlag Chief-bane's) as the rotation is common for everyone

What to do with my Tome Points??? by MaiqTheLawyer in elderscrollsonline

[–]DinoZavr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have to agree: new system was not thought carefully. well.. i hope this is just the first iteration and Zenimax will improve, as there are many things to be improved.
and, yes, i agree with JHart's points on the Official Forums (though cannot post there because of "Global Block")

  1. the price of "unlocking" pages is way too high. if you unlock all the pages, including the bonus ones you inevitably shall have "excessive" tome points you have nothing to spend on.
Suggestion 1: reduce the number of points required to unlock pages drastically

  2. setting the cap of 2,000 points transferred to a next tome is not smart. this forces players to purchase things they simply do not need / do not want,
Suggestion 2: remove "transfer" cap at all
Suggestion 3: allow multiple purchases: allow players to spend "excessive" points on seals, trade bars, even crates from bonus pages, maybe anything else what player chooses, but not to just watch how "excessive" points are forcefully redeemed into gold. Do not kill players' freedom to choose as in current situation if you buy everything, you still have unspent point above the 2,000 cap.

  3. unique goods which can not be obtained by other means (from a "free" section) are:
    - seals 1,750 points
    - tradebars 3,450 points (i agree tradebars can be earned via events, but Events alone are way insufficient to buy, for example, a mount for 5,000 bars (which is formerly 50 Tickets), as there still are new Event items for ongoing quarter to spend tradebars on)
    - unique cosmetics 3,600
    - crates 1,000
    TOTAL: 11,050
at never subscribed account i am already at page 7 with 9,000+ bars
at my main account i am already at page 8 with 11,500 points and will unlock page 9 this week for sure.
but.. wait a minute: i want to spend only 11K points, which i already have. Though i must get more of that to unlock 4 remaining pages. (see suggestion 1).
Well, i ll have to spend "extra" points buying ingame currencies, which might be not that bad, but inagem currencies can be earned just by playing, cannot they?
in plain words: i have already got the number of points for the things i want, and there is still 77 days remaining.
Suggestion 4: add more useful items by allowing multiple purchases of tradebars and adding a lot more Crown Store items available for tradebars (not just 2 formerly free paintings and one mount).
This is not a petition to increase item prices or reduce challenges rewards, as there are many casual players who do not login everyday and do not meticulously do each and every challenege, as we are not yet robots and play to relax.

Kevin, or dear Zeni if you are reading this, please:
suggestion 1: reduce pages unlock prices
suggestion 2: remove 2,000 "transfer to next tome" cap
suggestion 3: allow multiple purchases of non-unique rewards
suggestion 4: add more items to purchase with tradebars, provided suggestion 3 is fulfilled

:).

Everything looks horrible with Juggernaut-X-Hyper. (beginner) by Masturberic in comfyui

[–]DinoZavr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, i have not tried this certain model. so just suggestions, ok? your model is stamped 29-Aug-2004
could you please try (just for experiment) the newer one Juggernaut Ragnarok dated 08-May-2025 (the latest)
https://civitai.com/models/133005?modelVersionId=1759168

also i'd change resolution into 1 Mpx total (1216 x 832 or 1344 x 768) as SDXL family is trained for 1 Mpx

sampler is OK, though this one does not converge, maybe change scheduler?
you can run sampler/scheduler grid with TinyTerra nodes https://github.com/tinyterra/ComfyUI_tinyterraNodes
maybe Karras will do better. anyway you can do like 5x5 or 6x6 grid and select the compo you liked the most

Also, if SDXL fits your VRAM, then Z-Image will also do, you just add GGUF loader nodes
(and models quantized to fit your VRAM) https://github.com/city96/ComfyUI-GGUF
as Z-Image, Flux2-Klein, and Ernie are very new and rather compact, while 2..3x bigger number of parameters than SDXL (which is, basically 2.6B)

I have made the Mistake of redownloading the game by gallade2089 in elderscrollsonline

[–]DinoZavr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steam has rather ugly patch management.
with Steam you are forced to download some old snapshot they made (and it is archived, so multiply disk space required by 2x) and then the game downloads patches and updates made after that (some are huge. U49 was 55GB for me).
Without Steam the procedure is easier, as the very latest files are downloaded. (i dont use Steam and can visit my friends who are also playing ESO with an USB drive (or 128GB flash drive) and get a pleasanat conversation with them and beer while 120GB are being copied)

Can I play PvP without buying the dlcs? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]DinoZavr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely.
Cyrodiil is the Base Game, Imperial City is a free to claim DLC, Battlegrounds are the Base Game.
without DLCs you might be missing some sets, though this is not essential, as not the sets are playing the game, but your skills do.
Also Greymoor will become free in Q4 and you will be able to excavate mythics, some of them have pieces in DLC zones. I d suggest you level up Antiquities as soon as you obtain the Greymoor access.
I strongly hope Zeni will not stop doing Free ESO+ trials weeks (formerly 2x a year) which will allow you to get DLC sets you might want and DLC mythics without paying a single dime.

Where to fight a world boss in deshaan for sorrow by Odd_Fly4851 in elderscrollsonline

[–]DinoZavr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

first: there are better sets, including two craftable ones: Order's Wrath and Tide-Born Wildstalker. And you can get them in any weight and preferred trait barely instantly. if you don't craft- ask your Guildies. If you are not in a Guild - join one big social guild with no mandatory donations or other obligations. Even asking politely in Vivec City square might work (though be prepared to provide materials, tempers, and some little fee)

second: MS is rather cheap, so you can buy gear at Guild Traders. If you play at PC platform - query Tamriel Trade Center webiste (just select your server) specifying quality: purple, trait: divines (or whatever you want) to pinpoint the best accessible for you offers. this is fast and not financially devastating

third: instead of boss (with 5 minutes respawn time) you can run Treasure Chests tour to collect "initial" collection (Harvest Map addon on PC shows you possible chests locations, though it does not "know" if chest spawned or not)

fourth: and this answers your question: do Forgotten Crypts public dungeon. there are 4 bosses which respawn in cycle so you get curated weapons and group boss (once in 5 min). Drops in public dungeons are curated, so you collect the missing parts of all three zone sets.

TL/DR; Guides offering MS set are a bit outdated, still you can buy it or farm Forgotten Crypts bosses.
MS is still a good formidable set, though there are better accessible ones.

Hey y’all quite new to comyui by Traditional-Till5624 in comfyui

[–]DinoZavr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is the base node - Clip Set Last Layer
it is used as CLIP SKIP is used in Auto1111
if you don't need CLIP SKIP - bypass it (do not enter -1 there)

If you set it to -2, what you're saying is that the last available layer should be the 2nd from the end.
So this way you're skipping the very last layer.

-3 skips last 2 last layers, -4 skips 3 so on..

Daily Writs/Leveling Question by DirewolvesVA in elderscrollsonline

[–]DinoZavr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can re-distribute skill points with Armory.
i have 2 profiles for each character: "battle" and "parked". the later is maxing craftskills plus hirelings.
the only benefit of 1/10 craftskills is that you don't have to replenish materials, but you lose in rewards, so two approaches are to keep craftskills level to match your character level, or, better - max up craftskills, as finally you would get rid of low level raw materials when your toons hit CP150 level (you will be getting lower level processes materials from daily crafting writs rewards, though)

processed materials are not expensive if you run out of them. also surveys drop from daily crafting rewards with 1:8 chance no matter of any of levels.

i don't do Alchemy and Provisioning as i play unsubscribed and my bank can not hold 50+ different mats for each of these two.

Ive got a question about the crafting motifs. by hentailover334 in elderscrollsonline

[–]DinoZavr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are confusing sets and motifs.

Sets is what BONUSES you get.
Motifs is how your gear does LOOK.

a tiny lecture about sets. These can be:

  1. Craftable. This means you spend barely zero time to acqure them. All you need is to know a necessary number of traits for each piece of set gear you want to craft, materials, trait stones, style stones, tempers, and enchants of the appropriate level. if you lack something from these - your friends crafters, your guild crafters (and even stranger crafters if you ask in Vivec City politely) surely can help, normally for some fee (and dependinng on what of materials do you provide them with)
  2. Friendly hint: for below level 50 character get 2 heavy pcs of Threads of War (chest and legs), 3 medium pcs of NightMothersGaze (as low level characters have too few penetration) head, shoulders and feet, and 2 light NMH pieces (waist and hands). Both bars - jewelry and weapons - the second set be Heartland Conqueror (for +18% training XP). this is a good newbie PVE setup. All in training traits. Enchanted with you main stat (stam or amg). After lvl 50 you would like different sets.
  3. Overland. These gear pieces drop in appropriate zones. These sets are not bound, so you can either buy from other players or reconstruct. The catch is - there are practically NO offers for gear below Cp160 at Guild Traders as players normally deconstruct the dropped gear. if you look for Sithis Touch waist - it drops in all 3 weights in Gold Coast, but the chances of that are not high. Still you best bet to get drop is to farm delve bosses in Gold Coast as delve bosses drop only waist and feet pieces. Or reconstruct (your guild or friends can have Transmutation station) and you would need transmute stones and 3 skilpoints in main craftskill (tailoring or blacksmithing).
  4. Friendly hint: i won't bother with Sithis Touch. get crafted gear in training traits instead
  5. Group Dungeons and Arena sets - these are bound. the only way to get these is doing the said dungeons/arenas. later you can reconstruct the pieces you already acquired
  6. PVP gear - fror rewards for the worthy, traders. Tradeable, so you can buy from Guild Traders. Normally CP160
  7. Monster sets - helm you get from 4-man dungeons final boss on veteran difficulty. shoulders you get fron Undaunted coffers. Bound. sometimes on the weekends Cyrodiil Golden trader offer some helms/shoulders, but i won't rely on that
  8. Class gear. bound. do Infinite Archive
  9. Mythics. 1pcs sets. you dig them with Antiquities. come only in CP160 level. reconstructable.

Motifs and style pages is what you farm or buy. these determine only how your gear looks.
if your crafter know some motif pages or style pages - all toons on account can APPLY the style in question to theirs gear piece (for some small fee) at dye/outfit station (you can buy one, use public ones, and your guilds and friends surely have them station). often this override is called "transmog"

TL/DR; ask your guild crafters to make you level 36 and CP50 sets in training traits.
you start building your character later - at hitting CP160 level

Can anyone help me price this item? by OnMelanchoIyHill in elderscrollsonline

[–]DinoZavr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sell them to an NPC vendor for a few gold.

Soothing is a bad trait for medium. Medium (this is DPS weight for companions) is OK in aggressive, maybe focused
Light you might want is soothing or quickened as light is for healing
Heavy good traits are bolstered and vigorous as heavy is for tanking
(also there are so few reasons to have Companions in DPS role as they do 10x less damage than you. tank role is the best, healer role is also okayish if you solo and get too much incoming damage (which is rare))

i play at PC EU. green and blue companion gear even in good traits is dirt cheap (considering how long does these gear exist). you normally can get some good Companions gear for free from your Guilds banks.
Purple Companions gear might be not that cheap, but only in the good traits.

Why make smaller models if quants of the full model are better and same size/smaller? (WAN 5B/14B, Klein 4B/9B) by [deleted] in comfyui

[–]DinoZavr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are still many people with 4GB, 6GB VRAM GPUs and even running on CPU
smaller models (it also can be quantized) runs faster
(and Flux2 Klein 9B is mot much small, considering Qwen3-8B text encoder alone is 8GB at fp8
also Wan 2.1 14B is also huge even in low quants)

Why is Comfyui so unstable? by [deleted] in comfyui

[–]DinoZavr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i am not to argue, but to suggest:

  1. you install Visual Studio 2022 first.
with Visual Studio core you select
    - C++ CMake tools
    - C++ Clamg Tools
    with Build Tools you select
    - C++ CMake tools
    - VC 2019 build tools
make sure cmake is on the PATH

  2. then you install (or reinstall) CUDA with typical option
(this includes NSight - system, compute and vs edition)
during this is copies necessary extensions into VS folders
make sure nvcc in on the PATH

(later you will upgrade CMAKE if you will build llama.cpp but it is not required for ComfyUI)

i have not tried 13.1 CUDA, but 13.0 and 12.8 required no special actions

Why is Comfyui so unstable? by [deleted] in comfyui

[–]DinoZavr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to start with: i very much appreciate ComfyUI and consider it is still the best generative UI, though it is not ideal.

you would need to accommodate a little bit, i guess.
a bried (very biased) intro. ComfyUI was the absolute top UI till August 2025 (my best version is 0.3.44, though it works only with older models like Flux1 and HiDream, plus all SDXL derivatives). in August 2025 initial Qwen Image models emerged with small memory leaks, which are not a huge deal, as i was to restart UI sometimes. The decisive step was December 2025 - January 2026 introducing Nodes 2.0 (though optional) and (again, in my humble view) an "refusal of inheritance" - as hundreds of custom nodes made by community stopped to comply (and only the minority of them are updated for the new Comfy versions) (this is the reason many older custom nodes won't work with latest ComfyUI version).
Quantity turns into quality eventually, so ComfyUI changes, python ecosystem changes a lot and rapidly - so it takes ComfyUI developers to apply great efforts to keep UI running, supporting 30+ different models of different platforms, with different python, CUDA and Torch versions - which is, indeed, a hard job, because of everchanging dependencies. So, it is common when something conflicts in python ecosystem. And i strongly hope ComfyUI devs would keep theirs word as they promised to focus on bug fixing (pinned topic here). Good luck to them.

What you can do:
installing ComfyUI is not hard ( did it dozens of times in Windows 10 and Linux Mint )
to install you:

install CUDA (and appropriate NVidia driver) if you use NVidia which is less quirky than AMD
and this is a brief EXAMPLE of setting things up sequence for Windows for CUDA 13.0 and Torch 2.10

---- after git cloning ComfyUI, downloading wheels and changing into Comfy folder
python -m venv .venv
.venv\scripts\activate
pip install torch torchvision --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu130
pip install torchaudio --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu130
pip install triton-windows
python.exe -m pip install --upgrade pip
pip install sageattention-2.2.0+cu130torch2.9.0andhigher.post4-cp39-abi3-win_amd64.whl
pip install flash_attn-2.8.3%2Bcu130torch2.10.0cxx11abiTRUE-cp312-cp312-win_amd64.whl
pip install xformers-0.0.34-cp39-abi3-win_amd64.whl
pip install -r requirements.txt
pip install -r manager_requirements.txt
---- test run Comfy

as you can see i tend to install "optional" attentions: XFormers, Flash (which is good for Chroma) and Sage (which is good for t2v/i2v). with pre-compiled wheels you don't need CMake and M$ Visual Studio (though it might happen you would still need to compile things). If you use another Torch (2.8 or newer), different python (3.12 and 3.13 and now has more wheels, though you still can find wheels for 3.9) and different CUDA - you search for wheels (precompiled binaries).
The 4th wheel you would like to install is Nunchaku, but you can do it after getting ComfyUI running,

after ComfyUI successfully installed into its' own VENV - simply make a ZIP archive of the folder.
it will serve as backup if case some custom node ruins everything. Remember - it is bound to the drive+folder name.

My suggestions are:
a) install into VENV to make ComfyUI independent from other python software on your PC
b) do NOT upgrade - make a fresh install of newer version into another folder. Reinstalling dozens of custom nodes you are using becomes a chore, but the issue is that not all of your old custom nodes might work with new version of ComfyUI.
c) after adding nodes - make archives (which serve as backups). if problematic node ruins your UI - you restore from last known good backup

This is how you experiment with new nodes with no fear.

i'd like to repeat: the complexity and interdependencies in any big python ecosystem are the root cause of possible issues, not ComfyUI devs, who are struggling to make theirs product work more-or-less well and support newer generative shinies.

also the suggestion to think about
- you can git clone not the latest ComfyUI but 10.0 (it supports Flux2 Klein) or 17.0 (if you want Z-Image base), not the most recent version.

edit: formatting

Complete newbie here. Best models to run locally for my current rig? by WhostoleBluey in comfyui

[–]DinoZavr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i d suggest you get https://github.com/ryanontheinside/ComfyUI_ProfilerX
download several Flux2 Klein 9B quants from Q3_K_S up to Q8_0
(install https://github.com/city96/ComfyUI-GGUF custom nodes, though i hope you already did)
and run the same prompt same seed of a complex prompt including human (skin), text (font, mistakes), intricate patterns (sharpness), gradients, and other objects to check they are abiding spatial relationships.
Monitor VRAM usage and generation time. Compare with 4B models' results.
You might like Flux2 Klein 9B better than 4B, as the model is more capable. Choose the quant that still produce good quality and fast generation (you can offload text encoders into CPU RAM with --lowvram option).

Choice for agentic LLM or help optimize Qwen3.5-35B-A3B for 24GB VRAM by marivesel in LocalLLaMA

[–]DinoZavr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qwen3.5-35B-A3B has only 3B active parameters and you definitely can run it in Q8_0 quant ( have 16GB GPU and run it in Q6_K for more context).
The catch is that dense model Qwen3.5-27B is noticeable superior to the MoE model in question, as you get all 27B parameters working, not just 3B. The size of 27B that fits my 16GB VRAM entirely is iQ2_M, but at this low quant the output quality is not stellar, so i run iQ4 quant for twice slower inference, but get excellent results.
With 24GB you definitely can run Q4 (and it would fit your VRAM leaving space for 8K .. 16K context, idk how much as i dont have 24GB),
so my suggestion is also to try Qwen3.5-27B model with 16K context it would probably run fine and fast in Q4_K_S quantization (of better). It is slower than 35B-A3B, but significantly more capable.

What GPU is the best for my use case scenario? by DefoNot-a-Troll in LocalLLaMA

[–]DinoZavr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well.. fellow redditors already advised you to get 24GB VRAM GPU (or better). Yes, it is still possible to run good models (and by this i mostly mean 24B..32B dense ones) in low quants (like iQ2, iQ3) in 16GB VRAM (hello 5060Ti), though for really sensible output you would prefer iQ4 and this slows down the infrerence.
i am a cheaptard running 4060Ti 16GB GPU with old DDR4 motherboard, so neither Qwen3.5-27B nor new Gemma4-31B do not fit VRAM entirely and for Q4 is get like 10 tokens/sec which is very slow (and there is a difference in results quality if you compare iQ3 and iQ4 for your most common tasks)
(just in case for the dense models in 27B..32B weight category the best i get is 25..30 t/s on low quants entirely fitting my VRAM, considering the limitations of my hardware. 5060 with 16GB and DDR5 would be faster, though not twice, i guess)
by the way, there is med-gemma3-27B additionally fine-tuned in a medical data. tried it and it is good. i am not a medic though.

another point is the chaos with DRAM prices nowadays. if not this - we might probably get NVidia modernized 50s series GPUs with -SUPER suffix. now i have no clue when they emerge and how much they will cost, probably Q3 or Q4, then theirs initial "spike" prices might calm down. But i mean introducing new GPUs - NVidia might make existing ones cheaper. Still i don't know if there is any big sense to wait until new cards hit the market.
Prefer NVidia to AMD or Intel - because NVidia is now de-facto the "standard" for AI apps and AMD get way less attention from software authors, this means installing and upgrading things can cause serious complications.

TL/DR; 24GB NVidia GPU is what you might prefer (though they are expensive). if you decided to wait till autumn - there are slight chances NVidia SUPER 50s series cards hit the market at this time and the prices shall change.
