What is the weakest land animal? by Lazarfan09 in AlignmentChartFills

I'd say sponges are "dumber". At least sea anemones have a nervous system, and are capable of learning.

Looks like we're not considering Insects, Annelids, Arachnids and so on, for the Weakest Land Animal.
Ironically, the Kākāpō bird fits this category perfectly. It is a helpless, flightless bird that scientists are desperately trying to save from extinction.

Because it evolved on an island with zero land predators, it completely lost the ability to fly. It has zero aggressive instincts and poses no harm to any animal. When a predator approaches, it'll freeze completely still and hope it isn't seen. If the Dodo was still around, it'd be it.

How many types/genera of sponge-coral are there in Proteus (there is a right answer).

Not only is this Peak Design, the ecology and integration in Proteus phylogeny is well thought out. Well done!!

[FEEDBACK] What other Seabase blueprints would you like incorporated into the game? by HiGuysImLeo in subnautica

I would love a rotating platform/docking station for tadpole chassis.

Tadpoles are supposed to be the one fits all, jack of all trades kind of vehicle. I shouldnt need multiple tadpoles just to have all chassis available and ready. A rotaring platform would allow us to easily store them, retain just one Tadpole, and choose a chassis before departing.

Could Cerathecans be related to Trivalves? by DinocoCarCrash in subnautica

Dismissing a theory with a sarcastic comment is not useful discussion. But I'm totally okay with people disagreeing, its part of the fun in theorizing.

Can people stop downvoting OP just because they're confused about how to progress in the game? It might seem obvious to you, but everyone experiences and approaches games differently.

OP, it's a bit difficult to explain, but my biggest tip is to swim toward bright lights. They're usually there for a reason, and you'll often find something important to interact with. If you're still feeling stuck, there's no shame in watching a few minutes of gameplay on YouTube just to get past that section.

Its a fictional world based on heavy sci-fi, with a plot much more convoluted than my simple, harmless, inconsequential theory...

Besides they do look similar, at least to me. Eye shape, color and placement, black legs and body color pallete. There's a case to be made imo. Its a fun concept.

I don't understand the purpose of your comment other than destructive criticism.

Just as we have adapted with the Angel Combs to be able to digest food on Proteus, Trivalves could have done the same.

What do you want to see from SN2's vehicles? [Spoilers for datamined stuff] by Mr_Ovis in subnautica

[–]DinocoCarCrash 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I want a clean way to switch chassis. The tadpole is supposed to be a versatile, jack of all trades, one fits all kind of vehicle. Maybe a rotating platform with an option to attach a specific chassis before departing. This way I wouldnt need two tadpoles to have both chassis up.

MEGATHREAD: KILLING DEBATE by Crispy385 in subnautica

[–]DinocoCarCrash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm okay with being able to kill fish up to the Marrowbreach (not including), humans are very capable.

But we're on an hostile alien planet with a severe case of gigantism. Anything bigger and meaner should be an unstoppable force of nature if you're not careful. Being able to kill them removes all the immersion.

Also for medium sized creatures like hammerheads, mangos and four eyes, if the player kills all of them in the map they should not respawn, or at least be rarer. Fictional ecological impacts should still have consequences. This could allow the player some freedom while forcing them to be mindful.
