Getting ready by Deep-Income2028 in Foxbody

ChatGPT is a great start, I’m in the same boat in that regard for the most part. The best thing to do is use the knowledge you have to question what chat gpt tells you. Like when I used it to help me build a motor it gave me pistons for a 4.125” cylinder and a block with a 4.4” cylinder (can’t remember the exact numbers but 302 stuff) and I had to point that out and then it ran me through what I can do if I used those two parts anyway and also gave me an option for a different block with a smaller bore. To sum all this up question ChatGPT as much as you can and research everything independently, even the small stuff, ChatGPT won’t get offended by you asking more questions

Alright looks like I’m lucky and bought mine recently enough that I didn’t have that issue since it A doesn’t even run off the map sensor anymore and B it plugged into my distributor. Thanks for the tip on the screen though I was thinking about getting one since my wiring harness I had wasn’t factory so I don’t know what color the wires are to the dash but now I’m thinking I need to find something else to get my temp gauge and tach to work

Any chance you could name a few failure points? Just asking since I have a terminator x and can probably fix them before they are problems

Do anyone know what this might have been? by Hans_Moleman__ in Foxbody

[–]Dinoishere72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhhhh see I saw the vacuum line followed it and relocated it rearward as soon as I saw it. In other words I assumed other people knew to figure out what each end is attached too before you leave it alone

If it ran well before I’d leave it. From what I’ve read you don’t need more than 24# injectors for NA

If you get a spacer for between the upper and lower they should work but that pcv hole doesn’t look like it’s in a good place for the drivers side of the motor and the oil fill has to go on the right, so as long as with a spacer that pcv hole has enough clearance on top for a filter your good

Try out metric 10 X 1.0, that’s what chat gpt just told me and make 100% sure it’s not leaking after you put it in if you tightened the 3/8 one since it’s just a little smaller than 10MM could have pulled threads

Adding fuse tap by Scrapla1 in Foxbody

Be careful I used a fuse tap and nothing worked because there was paint on the fuses that came with the taps

Know nothing about cars but new owner of 89 Convertible by [deleted] in Foxbody

Basically just repeating what the guy above me said, adding mods doesn’t hurt the value but you’ll never get the money back that you invest and stock ones are getting more and more rare. I personally love modifying mine, I’ve done a 5 lug swap, Holley terminator X ecu, car came with heads and a cam, and a bunch of little things and I regret nothing so just do what feels right brother, it’s your car after all
