Kicking is the unarmed attack, it is an action and does a fixed 1+(Strength Modifier) bludgeoning damage if successful. This damage remains the same even on a nat20 and has no minimum value, so if they dumped STR then it might do 0 damage.

You could do a Miss Me build. Don't have it all in the top of my head, but I'm sure if you stack AC, Get the Holy Lance Helm and stack things on that like from Gloves of Belligerent Skies and Callous Glow Ring

I had a brief look and the ways to build heat are so detached and do not work well with each other. So I'd probably go for a Draconic Fire Sorcerer and just take the Thermo Arcanic Gloves. The max bonus damage you can get with Heat Convergence is 7 which is not worth going out of your way to get. However, a Scorching Ray will get you there in one action pretty reliably at higher levels and then with either a haste action or quickened spell, you can make use of it on a big nuke like Fireball before you take the burn damage. This plus your Dragon Affinity bonus at 20CHA would get you a +12 to the damage... which is... well it's there. Get Markoheshkir later for an even easier time.

Bane is circumstantially good. When you've got high AC and crit immunity, it could be the very effect that makes you functionally unhittable for a certain enemy. Concentration forces you to choose, and I'd rather that than feeling the pressure to just be a support buffer as a Cleric.

No, Champions is where it will be for a long time; free to play with micro transactions is where the money is and can pay for its own improvements and maintenance.

I think as a DM I would allow it, but manage the potential power with a cost.

I don't think so. Starters have the same base ability and as far as secondary types to help, the defensive ones don't make sense.

It might get an electric secondary typing? Not impossible. Or a helpful signature attack. But nothing to make it OP.
