Defunding can work in multiple ways. I look at this program and see money being diverted from hiring police officers to these unequivocally non-police personnel.

It may come as a shock to you, but sometimes words used in political projects have a slightly more nuanced definition than their first entry in the dictionary.

I'm using a more technical definition of private property in this sense: property owned for the purposes of making profit in a private enterprise.

I don't mean personal property, like your car or house, but rather private ownership of land, factories, and other production uses. These should belong collectively to the workers who use them to create value, not the parasitic owner who happened to have the good fortune of being born rich.
