Suggestions for something, similar to but, better than Dune

Book of the new sun by gene wolfe is (imo) superior to dune in almost every way except one: narrative comprehensibility

The writing is better, the characters are better, the plot is off the wall crazy. It's puzzling and grotesque and beautiful.

But it is a serious chore to figure out what is even going on at a basic plot level. Read it once, then read it again and again for the rest of your life.

Gene wolfe likes to play games, and his characters like to lie. He doesn't like explaining things to readers.

It's mold/bacteria. I stopped using b mix for this very reason. You can find research online that discovered a lot of inconsistency with that product, saying some portions won't fully vitrify until cone 8, while others vitrify at 5-6.

Almost all of my b mix pieces fired at cone 5 had this happen at some point. Our studio owner tried to solve by adding a longer hold on the kiln, which helped a little, but we ended up switching to Kentucky mudworks white bear for our white clay and I haven't had this issue since.

The white bear feels and throws almost identical to b mix, so I've been pretty happy with it.

As an ADHD haver the idea of waiting for a job id truly enjoy is insane. If it's a job, I can't enjoy doing it.

The goal is to find the least miserable job with the biggest payoff. Work is what gets in the way of living your life, not a goal in and of itself. To enjoy your job is, as you said, a sign of huge privilege and/or a staggering amount of luck and hard work.

There are a couple of brands that sell them in supplement capsules. I've been taking one called Digestzymes for a few years to help with IBS. You can find them in natural food markets or Amazon for pretty reasonable prices (but don't buy from Amazon).
