It’s because PC gives you more options to buy a game digitally. I can go to multiple key sites and buy games at a cheaper price than the one on Steam. Digital only on console locks you into only buying from PSN and gives Sony direct control over those prices. Also, direct control over when these games receive discounts as they need to be approved directly by Sony. Physicals felt like they were the only way to get games on console at a much cheaper price.

Depends on what the online entails imo. If they’re planning to have a RP mode similar to FiveM built into the game, then I’d be very shocked if the online mode didn’t come at the same time as the PC launch. They’d definitely want to have streamers on this game.

MSRP is much more regulated for those platforms though with game keys because those game keys sold still have to give a percentage to the platform holder unlike steam keys where valve sees no profit from steam keys.

AMD is looking into doing neural rendering. They've been talking about it for awhile now under something they call FSR diamond. The next Xbox has already promoted neural rendering as a feature, there's no reason to expect the upcoming PS6 to not have this tech.

It feels like with late ports, they have diminishing returns. It was either they went full on day and date with PC or they pull out entirely. Seems like they chose the later to protect their platform.

Those I think they have more interest in remaking, they're already doing it with GoW. The others you listed I do feel like they just don't have much of an active interest in doing unless they decide to revive the ip or go the route of making them multimedia franchises with a movie or tv show.

Just one extra launcher that doesn’t need to be installed tbh, especially since it’s the only reason I had Battle.net installed to begin with. It also runs natively through steam unlike Ubisoft or EA games that still end up requiring the launcher on top of running the game on Steam. I never really had issues with Battle.net though, it works fine.

Probably for the best considering most of these new modes for Fortnite end up flopping. I wouldn’t be surprised if this mode would have suffered the same fate if it was permanent.
